I've seen the stories but they don't square with Jackson playing with injuries in the past, (see week 1 last year). Nor was he treated for an injury on the sideline. Nor did he do gentle exercises on the bike to keep the groin loose. If he misses practice time and is listed as a doubt next weekend then i'll believe it. Until then i'll be sceptical of such reports. No offence is intended. There are plenty of other players who i'd believe were injured. Steven Jackson, St. Louis Rams, (groin): On Tuesday, we noted that Jackson missed time in Sunday's game because of a groin injury and nothing else. While coach Jeff Fisher and Jackson made it seem as though the injury was not serious -- and an MRI seemed to confirm as much -- it remains to be seen whether Jackson will be ready to go this weekend. He did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, but according to the Rams' official website, he "remains hopeful" he'll be ready by Sunday. This may well come down to a game-time decision.

Hands up! I was completely wrong on that one. Jackson missed practice and is listed as 50-50 for Sunday's game at Chicago.
