Now, everyone knows by now that the Pro Football Hall of Fame refused to allow Sydney Seau, Junior Seau's daughter to speak posthumously for him at his Hall of Fame ceremony citing a 5-year old policy that prohibits such action. However, she released her speech that she had written to the New York Times and I have to be honest with you, it would have blown all of the other speeches out of the water. It did not contain any mention of Seau's condition, or their family's lawsuit with the NFL, despite some of the NFL's fears. Here is the full speech for everyone to read and just be prepared for some waterworks. www.nytimes.com/2015/08/09/sports/football/junior-seau-hall-of-fame-sydney-seau-speech.html?_r=0

I will read it later. I had a hard time watching it last night. I met Junior on several occasions. He was larger than life in person. He was beautiful. Lots of trouble with demands later in life. But one of those people that you just could not help but be drawn to. RIP Buddy.

Yup I was there. This is what we surfers do when we lose a fellow surfer. Junior was a surfer. This is in front of his house. If you watch to the end. Drew Brees was there also.

My freshman year in high school (1995) he showed up to Oregon States football camp, I met him there and bought his jersey shortly there after. His cousin Leo played for the Beavs during that time...figure that's why he was in Corvallis.
