Wow. You hate to see this happen. One of the more promising rookies in the NFL, Fowler was carted off the field in rookie minicamp during practice on May 8th, 2015 with an apparent knee injury. Now it is being reported that he has torn his ACL and is out for the season. afjagsfan this has got to be rough news for you...

It's really sad that on the first day of rookie camp one of their key players get injured...in 2013 their first round pick Luke Joeckel also had his season cut short...I feel bad for them, honestly.

Classic example of why some players won't do anything until they have a contract.
I feel bad for the team and the kid.

Poor Jags. Just sux. These doctors need to start working on some synthetic ligament to put in all athletes who choose to do so. Like a tommy john sorta thing ...I don't know. Just seems the number of the twig ACL snaps goes up year after year. Poor Jacksonville and their fans.

I remember when Peria Jerry had this injury happen to him in just his second game. I think it was a large factor in the reason he proved to be a bust. It really sucks to see something like this happen.

999Bronco Jeff Heuerman just did the same thing. Out for the season after rookie camp. That sucks. It's not nearly as bad as Fowler of course, because we have Daniels, Green and Casey this year. I am hopeful that Heuerman will develop into a solid TE going forward, and I am sad that he will miss out on a year with Manning, which would help him to learn a lot about playing offence in the NFL, but he would have been just fighting to see playing time this year so the loss shouldn't have a major impact on this season.

999Bronco Jeff Heuerman just did the same thing. Out for the season after rookie camp. I know. Was hoping it was a joke when I saw it, but I guess not. We have enough guys at TE to where it won't have a sizable impact, but would have been great for him to have that extra time to learn with Peyton like saska said. It sucks, 2nd day of camp and he's suddenly going into surgery and down for months. I've had knee surgery and it's no joke, rehab is strenuous. Looks like Duncan will make the roster now. Stick Heuerman on IR and have him learn; be ready for next year. We'll be fine, but just unfair to the guy.
