Absolute favorite scenario: Falcons trade up to get Leonard Williams and the Titans take Mariota later and get a boat load of draft picks As long as its not a certain team I cheer for that blows their next half decade....I'm good.

Great article on the Titans drafting at #2 from grantland.com. If you care about the draft, your team needs a QB, or just want to read something interesting, here it is

Titans 2015 Draft: 1.02 QB, Marcus Mariota 2.09 WR, Dorial Green-Beckham 3.02 T, Jeremiah Poutasi 4.01 DE Angelo Blackson 4.09 RB Jalston Fowler 5.02 RB David Cobb 6.01 OLB Dieontrez Mount 6.32 C Andy Gallik 7.29 WR Tre McBride
- Marcus Mariota is going to start from week 1 and not look back baring injury. I couldn't be more excited
-Dorial Green-Beckham isn't likely to start day one or anytime soon. The Titans are suddenly stacked at the position. DGB needs to beat out Justin Hunter and Harry Douglas to avoid being a very tall #4 receiver. Even if he is, the Mariota-Whisenhunt combo dictates that a spread style of the WR position means 4 wideouts and Delanie Walker will all see the field.
-Jeremiah Poutasi was miss-cast during the draft process and is likely to win camp battle over veteran Byron Stingly to start at right tackle. If Poutasi works out and plays up to his potential, the Titans offensive line will be spotless for the first time since we went 13-3.
-Angelo Blackson is a perplexing choice, especially with the recent news from Whisenhunt that DaQuan Jones is almost certain to start for the Titans as a five technique defensive end. That doesn't leave any spot for Blackson to play unless he can challenge a pretty good nose tackle in Sammie Lee Hill.
-Jalston Fowler played fullback at Alabama and dominated as a receiver. He lead the Crimson Tide with 11 receiving touchdowns (yes, more than Amari Cooper). He's a stout blocker as well, but he'll be a receiving fourth back in a log-jam of receivers (Sankey, McCluster, and now Fowler).
-5.02 Cobb is the closest thing to a pure back on the Titans roster. Most people who don't know the Titans in the national media assume he'll beat out Bishop Sankey for the starting job, but the odds of him being anything more a spell back is slim.
-6.01 Dieontrez Mount is an athletic, raw pass rusher who will need time before he's even ready for the backup role he has now. The Titans are desperate for pass rushing depth with the sudden retirement of Kam Wimbley. Brian Orakpo has been injured recently and the Titans have no real depth behind him.
-6.32 Andy Gallik probably won't compete to start. He won't get much time anywhere, but his size could let him swing to guard if Andy Levitre can't hack it.
7.29 Tre McBride, like DGB, is going to get on the field as a rookie because of the Titans new offense. He's a hell of a steal, and he's a perfect insurance plan if Green-Beckham doesn't work out.
-Two undrafted free agents have received great reports from OTAs and minicamp. Cody Prewitt and JR Tavai were both expected to be drafted, and both are expected to earn spots on the weakest points of the Titans 53.
With the recent news regarding Wimbley, Fowler, Mariota, Prewitt, Tavai and Jones, here's how I see our latest 53:
QB: Marcus Mariota, Zach Mettenberger, Charlie Whitehurst HB: Bishop Sankey, David Cobb, Dexter McCluster, Jalston Fowler FB: Fowler WR: Justin Hunter, Dorial Green-Beckham, Hakeem Nicks WR: Harry Douglas, Tre McBride WR: Kendall Wright TE: Delanie Walker, Anthony Fasano, Craig Stevens LT: Taylor Lewan, Byron Stingly LG: Andy Levitre, Poutasi C: Brian Schwenke, Andy Gallik RG: Chance Warmack, Poutasi RT: Jeremiah Poutasi, Byron Bell
DE: Daquan Jones, Ropati Pitoitua, Angelo Blackson NT: Sammie Lee Hill, Blackson, Al Woods DT: Jurrell Casey, Karl Klug LOLB: Derrick Morgan, Johnathon Massaquoi LILB: Zach Brown, Wesley Woodyard RILB: Avery Williamson, Woodyard, Zaviar Gooden ROLB: Brian Orakpo, Diontrez Mount, J.R. Tavai CB: Jason McCourty, Perrish Cox, Blidi Wreh-Wilson, Coty Sensabaugh, Brandon Harris FS: Michael Griffin, Marqueston Huff, Cody Prewitt SS: DaNorris Searcy, Daimion Stafford K: Ryan Succop P: Bret Kern LS: Beau Brinkley

Hearing Mariota is looking dominant and a class above Mett? That's what they always say in otas. I'll wait for live football before I cash in my optimism, but these reports do have me chattering with excitement. I can't wait to forget about the time between mcnair and mariota. The two exceptions being the 08 defense and Chris Johnson.

I am mega excited about Mariota starting for the Titans this season. Even if he struggles some weeks he has to be a more exciting option than Metts (who i think is a decent backup). I am equally excited about Cobb who I think by week 4 will be the starting RB for the Titans. DGB could be a starter by midseason if Hunter doesnt get it together. I am a Titans fan and I likely cannot see beyond a 7-9-0 season at best but more likely a 5-11-0 season (which would be a step forward from last season right?) 2016 will be the year Mariota, Cobb and DGB become great and hopefully a winning record

I think David Cobb and Green-Beckham are barely ready to see the field at all, and Cobb is third where DGB is fourth on the depth chart. Still, I'm expecting a quick turnaround solely because teams with high level quarterback play don't lose more than 8 games. I half expect Whisenhunt and our injury bug to ruin the season and end up with a poor record, but that's not what I would bet on. Tennessee has a great shot to be the worst-to-first team this year.

The first two days of Titans camp: -Justin Hunter showed up and took no questions on his recent barfight allegation. He "took" them right to his attorney, anyway.
-Kendall Wright has been the star of camp so far, according to Marcus Mariota and Ken Whisenhunt. He's looked incredible in drills especially some of the close-quarters agility stuff I've seen on twitter and instagram. He's taken every rep with the 1's.
-Hunter, Dorial-Green Beckham, and Blidi Wreh-Wilson have all underperformed. DGB showed up at 239 lbs, six less then he weighed at the combine. Still, Derrick Mason (former titans pro-bowl WR and current radio personality) said that "you can't play WR in the NFL for 16 games at 240. I tried." Green-Beckham made a great catch on day 1, but has looked slower especially in the drills Wright excelled in. Hunter dropped the first ball thrown at him and has otherwise struggled. Blidi Wreh-Wilson was burned for big catches on his first two reps, although what surprised everyone was that he was even getting first team snaps over Perrish Cox. Titans ESPN guy Paul K says it's only a seniority thing that Cox isn't the starter, and that he's a lock for week 1 in Tampa.
-Hakeem Nicks is proving doubters (me included) wrong so far. He's healthy and performing well. I hope the effort level stays constant over a long season, if so, I'd be happy to eat my pessimism.
-Sammie Lee Hill has probably lost his starting job to fourth round rookie Angelo Blackson of Auburn or maybe even Al Woods. Hill has spent the first two days on the PUP list for multiple failed conditioning tests after showing up to camp out of shape. Hill's spot was considered safe coming into camp, and he still has a shot to start, but he's off to a poor first two days.
-Jurrell Casey came into camp up 5 lbs. He said he's been in the weight room 24/7 to get larger and be more versatile than his current scheme-specific 3 tech job. Chance Warmack also came into camp slightly up from his earlier reported weight. Taylor Lewan said that "Chance is in the best shape of his life. He'd beat half the defense in a race right now." Lewan, never one for modesty I guess.
-Marcus Mariota has been basically perfect, but Ken Whisenhunt said that quarterback play won't matter much in camp until the pads come on. Delanie Walker heaped him with praise, saying that he knew the offense and had been nose deep into the playbook all summer.
-The RT competition is between third round pick Jeremiah Poutasi and panthers LT Byron Bell. Everyone in Nashville is rooting for the kid. Latest 53 man roster prediction:
-3 undrafted rookies have all been making good impressions, or at least impressions, so far. G Josue Matias was exepected to be a day 2 pick, and he fell due to injury concerns. He's proved the experts wrong and looks likely to steal sixth rounder Andy Gallik's spot at right guard. J.R. Tavai, OLB from USC, has gotten first team reps due to injuries to Brian Orakpo and Jonathon Massaquoi. Lastly, UDFA corner Cody Riggs has been reportedly been stellar on the first two days and is looking likely to make the roster in a weak position group.
