Well, I'm now 100 percent sure that this is Dimitroff's and Smith's final year in Atlanta. It was a nice 7 years. We'll take Mike Smith in Buffalo next year when Marrone gets fired. If you want a good, stable team, Mike Smith is your guy, but I don't know about winning Championships.

I know nate I saw that penalty and it was bullshit, but it was a make up call from when Lawson didn't get called for hitting Brady after the play. Are you referring to the play where Jerry Hughes got flagged for going low on Brady after the play because one of the Patriots' offensive linemen blocked him into Brady? To quote Daryl Johnston on the play: "As an NFL player, you're always responsible for where your body ends up no matter what." The refs seemed like they really had it out for the Bills, or were really trying to give the Patriots obvious advantages. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called on Jerry Hughes for congratulating his teammate for stopping the Patriots on third down, an offensive pass interference call on Sammy Watkins when he was simply running his route AVOIDING trying to set a pick and a Patriots DB ran into him, negating a long reception by Robert Woods. Doug Marrone even said in his post game presser that he wouldn't comment on the refs because he was afraid he'd get fined for what he had to say. A lot of Bills fans are irate that the refs seemed to "hand" this game to the Pats and it might seem like I am to, but I'm not. Truth is - the Bills shot themselves in the foot with three first half turnovers, ridiculously porous play from the secondary, an offensive line that is total shit - something that is "supposed" to be Doug Marrone's specialty, and continued moronic playcalling from Nathaniel Hackett. The Bills DESERVED to lose this game. More specifically - the Bills coaches deserved to lose this game. The refs appearing to be biased was just secondary.

Funny because I actually thought the calls were going the other way around. I certainly didnt see holding on Devey on that Gronk TD, in fact I saw Devey get destroyed. We ended up with 9 penalties vs 8 for Buffalo, hard for me to say I am happy with that but 9 is certainly less than most games this season. I saw a Jerry Hughes clearly taunting a Patriots player during that celebration. Watch the replay and you will see a Patriots player trying to get out of the middle of multiple bills players. No way for me to know what was actually said, but in no way was that a bad call. I certainly have to question how they overturned that Gronk catch and fumble into an incomplete pass. I really dont care how they call that play, but there was nothing that told me it was obvious enough to overturn the call on the field. Still penalties aside, you are going to have a hard time beating Brady when he plays that well and it gets a lot harder when you turn the ball over so often. Some bad decisions by the Bills, but also a lot of impressive plays by the Pats. That INT was all on Orton, Chandler Jones deserves credit for a strip sack, and I am not sure you can blame Spiller for that fumble. Still all and all a good game. I dont see Buffalo going away anytime soon. And I am not sure how you felt about the broadcast, but I sure hope Fox never broadcasts another AFC game.

Antone Smith is just flat out speed. Seems like a new Sproles has entered the league. He is being criminally underutilized by the Falcons.

Week 1: 3 touches - 54 yard TD Week 2: 2 touches - 19 yards Week 3: 4 touches - 38 yard TD Week 4: 4 touches - 48 yard TD Week 5: 4 touches - 74 yard TD Week 6: 6 touches - 41 yard TD It is ridiculous he isn't even averaging 4 touches per game.

To quote Daryl Johnston on the play: "As an NFL player, you're always responsible for where your body ends up no matter what." No. I'm talking about a different play that went uncalled entirely. It was about two plays before the BS facemask call against Buffalo. Lawson (or maybe it was Hughes, I don't know the Bills numbers) just walked up to Brady way after the throw and shoved him over. The refs were all looking at a throw down field, and they would have called this hit if they'd seen it. I think Brady whined to them that they missed a call (and to be clear, they did. There's no arguing it). And then the refs gave the Pats that awful phantom facemask call to make up for missing the late hit on Brady. I am not saying the calls were balanced in this game either. It seems to me like Buffalo got shorted a few times. I only watched the first half with my dad (a pats fan) and he was pissed about the Brady no-call, and then I laughed at how the bills got screwed on the facemask call. And I just happened to be on this forum at the time, so I compared the two, and then left this thread for the rest of the game.

It's because the Falcons use 4 RBs. Devonta Freeman doesn't get the carries that he should either.

How do you know what he said on the field? I watched it three times, was that enough? Dont ignore the rest of my post, Pats had 9 penalties and the Bills had 8 and do you really think they were all fair calls considering the Pats are thought of as one of the more disciplined team in the NFL?

Dont ignore the rest of my post, Pats had 9 penalties and the Bills had 8 and do you really think they were all fair calls considering the Pats are thought of as one of the more disciplined team in the NFL? I wasn't ignoring the rest of your post, I actually read people's posts when they respond to me or reference something I said; I'm not a jackass. I was simply discarding the rest of your post because as usual, you were opining from behind your notoriously forum wide known homer goggles. Watch the video a fourth time. Does it look like Jerry Hughes is talking shit to Stevan Ridley? By his body language alone you can see he's fired up and talking up Ty Powell and giving him props. I guess only a homer Pats fan would watch the replay of this video and naturally assume Hughes was looking down at Stevan Ridley on the ground and talking smack to him. In the REAL world, fans of all other 31 teams in the NFL would watch this and just laugh and say, "score one for Belicheck and the refs." As far as the Gronkowski fumble, I would implore you to find footage of that particular play and OBJECTIVELY watch that again. He caught it, but didn't make a "football act common to the game" before the ball came out, which is why the refs ruled it an incomplete pass instead of a catch, fumble, and fumble recovery. As far as the Patriots having more penalties assessed against them than the Bills, and this fueling your argument that it was the PATRIOTS that got jobbed as opposed to the other way around, number of penalties means nothing. The impact of certain penalties means everything. If I recall, the Pats got called for a couple of false starts. Were the refs not supposed to call that because your Pats are simply so disciplined?
