I have two situations to choose from, in two seperate leagues.
#1. Palmer vs. Rivers
I know this might sound crazy, but I'm leaning towards Palmer right now for week one. Palmer is at the helm of an aggressive vertical passing game versus a San Diego defense that ranked 29th versus the pass last season, AND Palmer will be "home".
Rivers is on the "road" facing one of the best secondaries(Patrick Peterson/Antonio Cromartie/Deone Bucannon), and ARI D also is good against the run.
#2. Cutler vs. Rivers
Already listed Rivers' situation in week 1 above.
Cutler vs. BUF: The Bills had one of the league's best pass rushes in 2013 with 57 sacks and still have a great defensive line. They did, however, lose aggressive coordinator Mike Pettine, while Cutler has Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery and Matt Forte to lean on. Cutler is playing with home field. Advantage Cutler?

Maybe I'm just over thinking things? IDK? Rivers is certainly the better QB over Palmer. But home field advantage and matchup's come into play also.
Between Cutler & Rivers, I still consider Rivers the better QB. However, I still think Cutler has better weapons, AND a better matchup this week. Plus Cutler is "home", while Rivers is away.

Got to have balls sometimes, and play the matchups. Sometimes though, it's better to just start your studs. Aghhh

It would be a hard choice for me to start Rivers vs AZ. I do not see SD being as good this year...... Cutler vs BUF sounds better to me.... How I miss having Peyton as a 5th round keeper...... 2 year rule don't you know.......

SD vs ARZ could very well be a shoot out. So you probably can't go wrong. Except if you look at last years stats I think Palmer threw lots of int's didn't he? So I hope to see our new corners get a few.

I played Rivers in the flex over Palmer. For what that's worth on my opinion.
Cutler/Rivers is tougher. I'd lean Cutler here.
Cutler has everything going for him here. The match up, the weapons, he should be a stud or I'm going to hate having him all year.
