Not sure if he's the top guy or second to Cooper right now. I expect Mathews to be big in that offense sooner rather than later. Depending how he comes back from his injury, which was a bad one. I'd ask @eagleknation Maclin is supposed to be taking over Djax position as #1 Wr. Cooper stays as the #2. Brad Smith has been running with the first team as the slot guy(not Matthews), for now. No doubt. Maclin is almost as fast believe it or not, but probably not as versatile. EDIT: Nothing to do with the Pack, sorry.

Well, that's where he is on this offense...for now. I suppose, seems Kelly likes big guys. But I'd still think he could be battling Maclin for his job if hes not 100% Yes. If Maclin or Cooper get injured, or are under-performing, I'd imagine/hope that Matthews would be the one inserted. However, at this moment, Brad freaking Smith is ahead of Matthews on the depth chart. Don't expect that to last for long though. I hear Matthews is doing REALLY well so far. I personally think it's just Chip not "handing over" a starting role to a rookie for psychological purposes?

Your receivers don't even come close to ours. And our RB's as a comity is unreal. Mathews, Woodhead, and Donald Brown. More yards, catches for yard, and catches, than any team in the NFL last year. Our defense has improved dramatically. I mean dramatically. Look out for my Chargers this year. We could be something.
Ya know you don't want to play us.
Do do do dooooooooout do do. Charge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't he your best Wr last season...yeah, I think so. Riley freaking Cooper, our second best Wr, almost matched Allen's production identically. I don't know what shit you're smoking, but please save some for me. As long as it's green.

Who is the third Wr on the chart this season? Who gets more targets and or playing time? This confuses me, and someone correct me if I'm wrong.... Seems that technically speaking, the #1 & #2 are the WRs that split wide and the #3 is in the slot. However, when many/most people refer to WRs in terms of who will get more production, it doesn't matter where they'll line up. For example, Welker while in the slot was clearly Brady's #1 target outside of Randy Moss's 2 great years there. Cobb can line up anywhere, and while often in the slot, has lined out wide when Jordy and/or Greg Jennings was out - BOTH out for several games in 2012. That year Cobb went from mostly special teams duty and part time WR to full time workhorse. At any rate, Cobb should be the #2 target at worst.

Boykin did enough last year to garner WR3 but that doesn't mean he'll keep that spot. Look for Davonte Adams to make a push for #3.

Cooper 16 games. 47 catches 835 yds 8 TD's. Allen 15 games. (didn't really play but in 13). 71 catches, 1046 yds 8 TD's. Allen almost equaled Coopers five year career in thirteen games. And Allen was the youngest player in the NFL. Allen is still growing. He put on a few pounds this off season and increased his speed some. You just keep thinking Butch, thats what you're good at. @eddiej2010

And he only got his his shot last year with Maclin out. Previously they had Maclin, D-Jax and Jason Avant in the slot. No one did poorly enough to lose their job until Maclin got hurt. Good luck with your little porker. Fat = speed.

But I will not try and say Cooper>Allen because he is not.

Equal Td's, with just a couple hundred yard difference. Allen had more catches, but Cooper had a significantly higher ypc average. I'm glad Craigster didn't try go further in his pursuit of comparing the Rb's.
