Yeah, it turns out this time he actually was injured, which really is a shame. He's one of the best players in the world, and I wouldn't wish injury on anyone (especially in the world cup). But honestly, he does dive a lot so it's hard to tell the difference between when he's really hurt and when he's not. I remember in the round of 16 against Chile, a defender challenged Neymar for the ball, and Neymar fell on the ground holding his leg in pain for about a minute and a half. When he realized the referees weren't falling for it, he stood right back up and ran the full size of the pitch at full speed to get back into the action. I don't think if his leg was hurt he could have done that.. There are also full montages of Neymar dives on youtube, which to me indicates he does this at more than just the world cup.. I 100% though Neymar was diving on this one.. I love watching him play his skill is through the roof but the guy needs to stop with the diving. This is one of the biggest problems with diving too is that you watch a guy dive 20 times in a game and then when you are like "Fucking baby get up and quit crying!" the guy could actually be hurt.. I honestly thought it looked painful when it happened but I really didn't think the rolling around was necessary , and I just assumed he was killing time like the rest of his team was.. Sad to see him injured as I would have liked to have seen Germany play Brazil at their full strength. With Neymar out it really hurts Brazil's team Also remember that their captain, Thiago Silva, is out after getting his second yellow. That's an even bigger blow IMO, because Brazil doesn't have many shut down defenders. Silva and Luiz have been huge for them.

Man... As a Germany fan I am pumped that they are more than likely going to the finals, I am pumped that Klose has the world cup goal record and I am pumped that Muller is well on his way to tying or possibly breaking Kloses record.
But as a soccer fan I am sad as I was looking forward to a good game and it is far from that. Brazil is just playing like absolute shit, they can't defend all of their attacking attempts fall short on shotty passing. They are losing it for themselves. You can't play this bad against a power house team and expect anything different than what is happening. I feel extremely bad for Brazil fans, this is not how I would have wished for them to be ousted out of their own tournament.. Hopefully they play a hell of a lot better in the 3-4 game this weekend.

I remember Muller winning the golden boot at the 2010 WC and he's been a monster this WC as well.. I just looked up his club stats and i was surprised to see that they aren't that great.. I guess Muller is one of those players who plays a lot better for his country than he does his club.

Silva being out is the reason the Brazilian defence was in complete disarray. They were missing their captain and best defender. I feel bad for Brazil because it sucks to lose so badly in a huge game on home soil, but I've been cheering for Germany since day 1 and I am happy to see them come up so big when it really matters against a team like Brazil.

I feel pretty bad for Messi. Honestly, he didn't have a great game, but I was really wanting to see Messi win a WC. Gonzalo Higuain squandered two HUGE chances and that's who I blame for Argentina losing.
Congrats to Germany though. Even though I was rooting for Argentina, Germany had been the best team throughout the whole cup and they deserve the trophy.

Yay Viva la Germany! Even though I was rooting for Germany all the way, a small part of me wanted to see Messi win a world cup.. He should have at least one more shot in 2018 in Russia..
