I like the idea of cityofchamps' thread, so I decided to make my own.
Power Rankings:
1. Seattle Seahawks - I always feel that barring offseason disaster (like what happened to the Ravens) the champs are #1 until they lose.
2. Denver Broncos - Denver is much closer to Seattle than people realize. The best offense and a talented veteran defense could win the super bowl, and they may be the favorites after 17 weeks.
3. San Francisco 49ers - My upset pick to knock off the Seahawks and take the NFC West, but that pick is unfounded so they stay below Seattle.
4. Indianapolis Colts - Their coaching and QB play is top tier. Barring a huge season from the Titans, they're already in the playoffs.
5. New Orleans Saints - They should dominate their division and earn a great record.
6. Green Bay Packers - They won the division without Aaron Rodgers healthy. There's no reason to think that changes this year.
7. Chicago Bears - The passing game is only going to get better with another year under Trestman, and better would be scary.
8. New England Patriots - Tom Brady is still the QB? And Bill's coaching? Check and check. Winning season.
9. New York Giants - Hugely improved in the offseason. I think they win the division by one game at 11-5.
10. New York Jets - Call it a gut feeling. Rex Ryan is too good of a coach not to fix the Jets this year.
11. Pittsburgh Steelers
12. Philadelphia Eagles - Very talented, but they will drop a few they shouldn't.
13. Carolina Panthers
14. Cincinatti Bengals
15. Atlanta Falcons - They're going to get back to 2012 shape, but not quite in time to save the season.
16. San Diego Chargers
17. Baltimore Ravens
18. Tennessee Titans - They'll improve and make the playoffs.
19. Kansas City Chiefs
20. Cleveland Browns - Johnny Manziel takes the reins in week 5 as the Browns are winless. He wins 7 of the next of the next 12 with a depleted Browns team.
21. Washington Redskins - RGIII bounces back, but no one else does in Washington.
22. St. Louis Rams - I'm not as big a fan of their draft as everybody else. It pains me to see Jeff Fisher struggle though.
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
24. Detroit Lions
25. Buffalo Bills
26. Houston Texans - That roster needs a few years of fixing, especially since they still don't have a quarterback.
27. Oakland Raiders
28. Minnesota Vikings - Bridgewater gets rushed into starting and makes too many mistakes his rookie year. He'll be great someday, but not in 2014.
29. Arizona Cardinals - The team that almost made the playoffs in 2013 won't even be close next year.
30. Dallas Cowboys - This kind of meltdown has seemed like it's been one year away for 5 years.
31. Miami Dolphins
32. Jacksonville Jaguars - A few free agency improvements and a backup QB with the third pick won't change the fact that they have the least talented offense and defense in the NFL. Their defense has barely improved from 2012, when it recorded only 20 sacks, less than JJ Watt that year.
