He's completely missed OTA's training camp mini camp and everything else the team has organized, that right there is reason enough for them to take it slow. When holdouts stretch into and beyond preseason is when the players really start to fail and do not live up to expectations. Look at CJ, if he would have been healthy he would have went for 2k again, instead he struggled till late in the season, it will be no different for Jones-Drew. From a fantasy perspective, he wont be viable till late in the season.
The Jags are going to do what it takes to win. If MJD isnt up to par then they wont start him or give him the majority of the carries till he gives them the best chance to do so, like i said right now if he ended his holdout and was ready by week 1 he wouldnt start contributing till week 3 other then a few test runs to see where he's at physically. The Jags would be stupid to do otherwise. If he gets injured then holdout or not he's gone for the season. If he's missing a step because he's not in shape where Jennings is then they'd be stupid not to put the ball in Jennings hands. MJD is hurting MJD.
i normally wil not use bleacher report to prove my point, but this article shares my apprehension and why i'm so against MJD right now. Kahn can careless if MJD was there or not, and with that said MJD is fighting a losing battle, he will either need to show up or prepare for a long hold out because the Jaguars arent budging.
