Stephon Tuitt has been signed to a 4-Year/$4.6 Million rookie deal. With that, the Steelers have all their picks signed.

The Steelers have $6 million of cap space, and an extension for Allen would give them even more room. So who do you think the Steelers sign during the second half of free agency? Brandon Flowers is still out there and is likely looking for a 1 year deal or a 2 year deal with a chance big extension/signing after this year. Michael Roos might be released by the Titans at some point as well.
The Steelers are interested in Flowers and will try to have him come in for a visit, per "source". That being said, reportedly Flowers has some character concerns. He supposedly does not like playing in zone and in the slot simply because he thinks he's too good not to play on the outside in man. And has gave coaches a hard time, mostly with Crennel's group.

The Steelers release CB Deion Belue and sign RB Jordan Hall out of Ohio State

This is why I hate NFL Network so much. From nflfromthesidelines.blogspot.com/2014/06/day-two-of-minicamp.htmlOne of the local newspapers did a story quoting a couple of national analysts - nobody from the Steelers - about how the team could be considering a shift to the 4-3 defense. One of the analysts is an NFL Network guy. A day after the story runs in said local paper, again, with nobody from the Steelers saying anything of the sort, the NFL Network starts tweeting that the Steelers are considering changing to a 4-3, with the source being their own guys answering a question. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yep. The sad part about it is that NFL Network has all this influence, yet they continue to do negligent reporting and let these "analysts" (a.k.a retired, arrogant players such as Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin, and Warren Sapp) say whatever the hell they please and they don't get reprimanded for it. I mean, I am all for the whole freedom of speech thing, but when you take advantage of the loophole and pull crap like this, that is just taking it too far.

Yeah, if anything they may play a lot of different formations in more of a hybrid defense, in fact I expect it. But the base defense will still be the 3-4, now the amount of base defense they likely will be in is debatable. But then again a lot defenses in the NFL now play less than 50% of base.

I am getting tired of the fact that every time there is an article about our Defense, Warren Sapp has to get mentioned at some point or another.

Good, I'd love to see him try to call that defense old and slow now. They are old and slow. Look at last season. I realize you're not being serious, but. Cortez Allen - 25 William Gay - 29 Ike Taylor - 34 Cam Heyward - 25 Stephon Tuitt - 21 Steve McLendon - 28 Cam Thomas - 27 Mike Mitchell - 27 Jarvis Jones - 24 Ryan Shazier - 21 Sean Spence - 24 Lawrence Timmons - 28 Vince Williams - 24 Jason Worilds - 26 Shamarko Thomas - 24 Troy Polamalu - 33 Ike Taylor once ran a 4.18, depends on how much he has been able to hold on to that. Polamalu can still close on the ball. Mike Mitchell 4.45 40 time. Shazier is going to have crazy closing speed on the ball and QB. Timmons is a well known athletic LB. Thomas had a 4.38 40 time while falling on his face. Heyward, Tuitt, and Mclendon are plenty athletic for linemen. I'm glad they at lest kept a few vets around, or else they'd be too young and inexperience, which was a rpoblem last year, not necessarily being too old.

Seems like Joey Porter has made an impression on Ryan Shazier.
"So in light of everyone's News.. The Browns are favored to Beat Pittsburgh in week one!! They Say "NLF Network" That Johnny "FootBall" Manziel Will not only beat the Steelers but light up the Scoreboard as well. What Does Steeler Nation Think? I Say That Boy Needs To Be More Focused.. Week One I got something for you Johnny!#JohnnyfootballSuxs #steelersnation #stayhumbleeatcrumbs#Steeler4Life #Clevelandsucks"
"If I were Lil Johnny Football, I'd focus more on my career than partying it up with LeBron James. He's in for a big surprise come September."
"I'm not a cavs fan as you can tell but I want to give congrats to the best player in the league for going back home @kingjames u gave us great years at the heat. Sorry guys a Heat Fan. Not a Johnny fan"
Having a mean disposition, dealing out the trash talk is perfectly fine in my opinion. But the rookie better back it up on the field as well, or he's not going to hear the end of it. But I'd be perfectly fine with J-Peezy 2.0 if we get the level of play along with the talk.
