Hey guys my Bears season is over so now its time to focus on the drafg haha. Heres my first version. Tell me what you think.
1. HOU: Teddy Bridgewater: QB: Louisville- The most polished QB in this draft, unless Bridgewater does something to mess with his draft status or the Texans get Jay Cutler, he should be the first overall player.
2. TRADE: CLE (From STL)-Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA- While Bridgewater is the most polished, Hundley has the most raw talent and highest ceiling of all the QB's in the draft. If he declares, I believe he will end up being the unanimous 2nd QB and there will be a scramble to trade up with the Rams to take him. Cleveland has the extra draft picks to make this trade.
3. JAX: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M: This is going to comedown to Bortles or Manziel, but if Jacksonville wants to put butts in those seats, you take the most exciting football player in the last 2 years.
4. STL(From CLE): Sammy Watkins, WR, CLEMSON- Bradford's supporing cast in St.Louis has been probably the worst any QB has had ever to endure (although Geno is getting there). Tavon Austin is a good slot guy, but they need a true #1.
5. OAK: Blake Bortles, QB, UCF: Oakland lands Bortles, who is flying up everyones draft boards. This QB class is so deep that unless you want Hundley or Bridgewater, you dont have to trade up to get yourself a serviceable QB. Bortles is more than serviceable, however, and the Raiders finally get themselves a franchise QB.
6. ATL: Jadaveon Clowney, DE, SCAR: Clowney would be the 1st overall pick had it not been a.)The deep QB class b.)The huge need of QBs c.)Had STL not already have 2 young studs at DE. The Falcons would be elated if Clowney falls to them, as they have a serious need for a pass rusher.
7. TB: Jake Mathews, OT, Texas A&M- Another probable #1 pick had it not been for those same circumstances, the Bucs could use help in protecting Glennon, who will be getting a shot to be their franchise QB.
8. MIN: Derek Carr, QB, Fresno St.- AP's days as a Viking are dwindling, and if you want to make him happy you get a QB. Carr is another stud in this deep QB class, and may not go as high as the other QB's simply because of his name.
9. BUF: Anthony Barr, DE, UCLA- The Bills could use another explosive pass rusher across Mario Williams, so the Bills take Barr, the best player available
10. DET: Darqueze Dennard, CB, Mich. St- If Detroit want to stop all these explosive WR's in the NFC North, they might need a CB who is worthy of starting.. Dennard is one of the best cover corners ive seen in a while and he warrants a top 10 pick.
11. TEN: Khalil Mack, DE, Buffalo- While Tennesse could use a Safety, if a guy like Khalil Mack is still on the board, you have to take him. Tennessee could use another pass rusher across Derrick Morgan anyway.
12. NYG: CJ Mosely, LB, Alabama- The Giants need another LB with Beason and Mosely is the best ILB in this years draft by far.
13. STL: HaHa Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama- If STL had a consistent secondary to go with their front seven, they'd have one of the NFL's elite defenses. Clinton-Dix is a do-it-all safety and the playmaker that defense needs.
14. CHI: Kony Ealy, DE, MIZZOU- Chicago's defense was historically bad. It was one of the worst run defense in the HISTORY of the NFL, and last in sacks. Theres no doubt the front seven needs to get healthier, younger, and more athletic. Speaking of athletic, Ealy is one of those JPP and Aldon Smith type freak DEs that will fly up boards as we see his combine and pro day results.
15. PIT: Cameron Erving, OT, FSU- If Pittsburg want to keep Big Ben in Pittsburg, they might want to protect him. Erving was a big reason for Jameis Winston's explosion to the college football scene.
16. BAL: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M- Everyone knew Baltimore made a huge mistake letting Anquan Boldin go, and now i bet they're regretting it. Evans is that VJax type reciever where u can throw it up and he can just go up and get it, much of what Flacco did with Boldin.
17. DAL: Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame- The Cowboys need more depth behind Selvie. The horrible front seven made a decent DB squad look awful.
18: NYJ: Marqise Lee, WR, USC- The lack of talent on the offensive side of the ball is embarrassing for the New York Jets. They need an explosive WR like Lee to help out Geno Smith.
19: MIA: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn- After the Incognito/Martin situation, its likely those two won't be back on the team. The Fins are going to have to replace them somehow.
20: ARI: Cyrus Kouandijo, OT, Alabama- The Cardinals were inpressive considering the makeshift O-line they have, but theyre going to have to protect Palmer better if they want to keep him upright, considering his history with injuries.
21: GB: Louis Nix III: DT: Notre Dame- Green Bay's D ha been horrific this year, and Nix is too good of a prospect to pass up.
22: SD: Justin Gilbert: CB: OKS- San Diego's problems all year has been their CBs. This year is a great year to get one as its very deep in CB.
23: PHI: Vic Beasley: OLB: Clemson: Philly could use a pass rusher across as they've had inconsistent pass rush this season. Beasley is slightly undersized, but then again so is Trent Cole and he seems to be doing well in Philly.
24: KC: Eric Ebron: TE: UNC: Alex Smith needs more weapons to in KC. Ebron is very explosive and is an instant upgrade over Fasano.
25: CIN: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: CB: OREGON- Cincinatti needs depth at CB and Ekpre-Olomu is one if the best in this draft.
26: CLE(from IND) Jace Amaro: TE: Texas Tech- Cleveland gets Hundley a weapon he can be groomed with as he grows as a QB. The combination of Amaro and Cameron would make a dynamic tandem at TE
27: NO: Cedric Ogbuehi: OT: Texas A&M- I think the Saints are wishing they kept the LT Bushrod, nevertheless they need an upgrade at OT to protect Brees.
28. NE: David Yankey: G: Stanford: The Pats need a better job of protecting Brady, and that starts with the O-line.
29: SF: Jason Verrett: CB: TCU- Carlos Rogers is not playing as well as he used to for the 9ers, so they could use another corner in an otherwise talented roster.
30: CAR: Austin Seferian-Jenkins- TE: Washington- Cam was best when he had a dual TE system with Shockey and Olsen. Sefarian-Jenkins gives him another weapon that can hopefully clear some space for Steve Smith.
31: DEN: Kyle Van Noy: OLB: BYU- Von Miller just tore his ACL, Shaun Phillips is a free agent and he's aging, so the Broncos could take a pass rusher in the first round.
32: SEA: Cyril Richardson: G: BAYLOR: The 'Hawks O'line has been playing poorly of late, so they could use an upgrade in the interior.
1. HOU: Teddy Bridgewater: QB: Louisville- The most polished QB in this draft, unless Bridgewater does something to mess with his draft status or the Texans get Jay Cutler, he should be the first overall player.
