I really think Denver can do very well this season. Watching the Broncos destroy the Bears(legit SB contenders, I might add) in our first preseason game(yes I know, only preseason), I got some good insight on how each of our players will do.
Watching Derek Wolfe get 2 sacks in his first ever NFL game (as a DT that's pretty darn good)was very promising. I also noticed that we got 150+ rushing yards whereas the Bears had less than 40. Even though Peyton Manning threw the only INT of the game, it was a very lucky INT. Manning showed excellent poise and accuracy otherwise. We have an arsenal of great LBs now. We also upgraded our DBs with starters Tracy Porter and Mike Adams. Eric Decker looked like he clicked with Manning on the two receptions he had.
All in all I think we are going to do great this year with a great D and excellent Offense.

I really think the Chiefs will take the division. I could be wrong though if the Broncos keep playing like they did against the Bears.

i have to agree with marchingon. i also think the chiefs get that division, by default of an easier schedule
the broncos are likely favorites for that division, but they came out of nowhere with a last place schedule last year. now with a 1st place schedule this year, i thinks gonna be REALLY REALLY tough for them to even improve there record this year
at the moment i think they are gonna take a step back, but they are a good team IMO, with a really really tough schedule

Looking at the broncos schedule, they have a tough go of it this year.. However like I have been saying since they have brought Manning in. all they need is their Offense to scored about twice as many points as last year.. and their defense to play similar to last year(neither of these are unreasonable) and they can and will be contenders.

I'll be the 3rd to say the Chiefs win the division. I honestly think the Broncos will be 8-8; the same as last year. Obviously, the upside is far greater than that, but they had everything working for them last year to get to 8-8. I think a deep playoff run is highly unlikely. In my opinion, they don't make the playoffs.

If Manning plays all 16 games the Broncos should be the division winners. Hanie looked good but so have other back-up QBs in preseasons past. I'm not sold on Manning's durability or Hanie's talent. As for the game against the Bears, I don't want to sound unkind but I didn't think that the Broncos were great. The Bears were just absolutely awful. We'll find out more over the next 3 weeks.
