are you only having this arguement because of what mantis says? thats the only reason i can think of why this thread was started
i think cutler and romo are both good QBs. cutler is a top 15 QB. romo is a top 10 though

Cutler is much better than Romo. It isn't a contest. (JK) @rey I will disagree with you until you admit that you copied my avatar!!! I made my avatar LOL.

@ Jindred
"I think Cutler is a more talented QB. I would take him on my team long before Romo. I can't stand people calling Cutler a wimp. He WAS FUCKING INJURED in the NFC champ game. Do you honestly think that he wouldn't have played had he thought he would have been the better choice for his team? obviously he was hurt bad enough that he thought giving it to the backup was the better idea. None of us know how badly he was hurt.. leave it alone its starting to piss me off.."
REY: Romo beat the 49ers with a punctured lung. Cowboys fans have some kind of right to call Cutler a wimp.
"Now, as for the two I prefer Cutlers play style, he has more athletic ability as far as running and arm strength. Romo is more accurate, but accuracy is one thing. If I wanted to win a Superbowl I would want Cutler as my QB. In the 4th quarter of the Superbowl down by 5 one drive to win the game I would take Cutler every time. He makes mistakes but remember most of the last few years he has been throwing off of his back foot every play. "
REY: And Romo doesn't? He's always running for his life (Giants/Eagles games are good examples). I'd rather have Romo in the 4th than Cutler.

i think they are pretty even. its hard to say because romo has had better weapons and a better line. yes i know romos protection hasnt been good but its has been better than cutlers. cutler has had the worst offensive line for the past couple years. once this season is over i think you can really decide who is better, the bears have upgraded at receiver and cutlers protection should be better

Yes Romo played injured, particularly in a case where he could have been killed by a hit.. So to me he is stupid. Playing injured IMO doesn't make you badass it makes you stupid. Most times you are going to be less of the player than you can be when you are injured. Did Romo play well that game? Yes he did.. Should he have played? No.. Just because you are smart and stay out when you have injuries does not classify you as a wimp. If you believe it is better for your team that you do not play because you are injured you are a selfless player. I didn't say Romo isn't good athletically I said Cutler is better. Cutler and Romo running wise are pretty even but arm strength is no comparison.. I am not saying Romo is a bad QB I am saying I'd rather have Cutler.

Cutler ruined his team's chances of at least going to the Super Bowl by staying out of the game. Even if he got injured worse, there was only ONE game left in the season. I think Cutler is an idiot for not trying to help his team win. Rocket arm =/= Better QB. Sorry to break it to you. Would you rather take Vick, Cutler, or Flacco over Brees? He doesn't have a rocket arm. Romo has better accuracy than those first 3 QBs. Accuracy > Arm strength. I'd rather have a guy that has steady performances over a hormonal turnover machine.

Did he though? What if he couldn't move around in the pocket at all with his injury there for taking sacks every time cause his line is shit? Is it not better to trust that your backup should be able to get it done? If you can't play to a level that you believe can win your team the game then you should stay out of the game. My theory is that if Culter felt as if he could play more effective than his back up he would have. If you are too injured you can't help your team win.
Accuracy is better than Arm strength in some cases. Cutler has both though. Cutler is a very accurate passer when he has time to pass. Does he turn the ball over lots? yes.. I think that could be changed though if you gave him an O-line and recievers that can actually run more than one route well. Is Romo more accurate? Yes.. But you can learn accuracy! You can't learn arm strength.
So I take that as you comparing Romo to Brees? I will answer your question, I wouldn't take any QB in the league other than Rodgers, and maybe some of the younger guys purely off of a longer career over Brees.. so its a stupid comparisson. You are talking about a QB who is way out of the league of the other QBs. Where as Romo and Cutler are very close in skill level. There for the arm strength makes a difference.
I respect the fact that you would take Romo over Cutler I get it.. I am just saying I would take Cutler. Its opinion based nothing more.

He produces at a near-elite level with mediocre protection and receivers (apart from Witten; Austin was injured; and Bryant isn't a polished route runner). 2. Nope comparing Romo to Brees. I'm saying both use accuracy over power. Rodgers is an awesome QB who has both, but I like the "touch" that Brees puts on the football. Which brings me to my next point. 3. Opinion respected. General consensus: Romo over Cutler. Yay.
