Haha!!! I love how you snuck Cam in this poll. I mean, to even be considered on the list as a number two ff Qb, shouldn't he have actually been the second best ff Qb at least once? He was third best during his rookie season, then fourth best last season. I know, I know....just showing some love to your hometown Qb. lol Brady got no votes? WTH? I think the order should clearly be Arod, Brees, Brady, then a toss up between either Cam or Peyton for the fourth spot. I think with the addition of Welker, Peyton will crack the top 5 list this upcoming season. Probably 3rd or 4th place, IMO. I also wouldn't be surprised one bit to see Matty Ice in the top 5 this season also.

Lol, come on brah....you and I both know that Cam should not be considered on the list of second best ff Qb in the league. At least not yet. Not saying he can't pull it off(2nd best ff points by a Qb), as he's been close now in his first two seasons. However, with his type of style, I feel that his FF production will continue to decline slightly with each passing year. His TD to INT ratio is not very good, and he doesn't throw for a ton of yards either. He is a special player, but when a Qb relies upon his running ability in order to be effective, teams around the league eventually figure out how to effectively stop that through good defensive game-planning. Vick is a classic example after his breakout season. Just saying.

I agree, he isn't going to be the #2 QB. But I was putting the next QB up based on what FFC had, not myself... Newton is not like Vick in any aspect but one: They run the ball well. Newton's passing skills are a ton better than Vick's. Newton's numbers only declined because the offense declined. What changed? Well, the offensive line was one thing. The offensive line went from fifth in pass protection to 27th in pass protection. How'd that happen? Well, first of all, they lost Left Guard Travelle Wharton to free agency, and all-pro Center Ryan Kalil was placed on IR early on in the year. They replaced Wharton with rookie Left Guard Amini Silatolu, who played above average run blocking, which was his strong suit coming out of Midwestern State. But, Silatolu was consistently beaten when protecting Cam Newton, and that hurt the Panthers pass protection. Geoff Hangartner, who can play Center or Right Guard, moved to Center to attempt to fill the huge void Kalil left behind. Hangartner played poorly filling in, getting an overall grade of -6.5 from ProFootballFocus.com. But he was better than nothing, which is what the Panthers had after Hangartner. Now, we know what four of the five offensive line spots are, but who was playing Right Guard? Garry Williams played eight games at Right Guard. Who is Garry Williams? Probably the worst pass blocking offensive linemen on the Panthers team. Why was he starting? Who the hell knows? Not me. So, what else changed? The Panthers running game was far worse than the prior season, putting more pressure on Newton's shoulders than the season before. In 2011, 'Double Trouble,' Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams, ran for 1597 yards on 297 attempts (5.3 YPRA). In 2012, they ran for 1073 yards on 266 attempts (4 YPRA). Why the change? Well, for one, Jonathan Stewart got hurt and missed time. Another reason was because of the Panthers play calling, more specifically, Rob Chudzinski's. He loved the run the zone read option, a gimmick play in which gives the defensive line more time to get to the running backs, before the backs even got the ball. So Newton didn't have an offensive line that gave him time to pass, and no running game to rely on. Newton had both of those things in his rookie year. Yet, he still lead the Panthers to a 7-9 season, getting second place in the NFC South (granted, there was a three way tie for second, and the Panthers won the tie breaker). How well did he do? Let's look at his numbers. And yet, he was still the #4 QB in NFL.com standard scoring. Nothing I've seen has lead me to believe he'll be declining. Of course, anything can happen, he could decline, but I don't see it happening. Newton 2013 > Newton 2012

Newton 2013 > Newton 2012 He declined from year one, to year two.....for a reason. Teams figured out how to stop him from rushing for Td's. He's bound to continue on the down slide.

Take away his rushing Td's, and what numbers does he have?

There is no possible way Newton is the #2 this season. BUT he deserves to be on this list. 3rd, and then 4th? I'd say top two potential.

He is a special player, and fun to watch. Let's see how it plays out.

Take away his rushing Td's, and what numbers does he have? Can't take away his rushing TDs, because there is nothing that has lead me to believe they'll keep dropping. Agree to disagree, I guess.
