I thought it would be fun to do my own rankings except do them on a list from 1-32 AND include the tiers like NFL.com. Please read and thank you! Tier 1: Complete defenses that have little to no holes1. San Fransisco 49ers 2. Baltimore Ravens Tier 2: Very good defenses that may have 1 or 2 needs3. Pittsburgh Steelers 4. Seattle Seahawks 5. Philadelphia Eagles 6. New York Giants 7. Cincinnati Bengals Tier 3: Pretty good defenses that are missing a few important pieces; above average8. Buffalo Bills 9. Houston Texans 10. Chicago Bears 11. St. Louis Rams 12. Dallas Cowboys 13. Green Bay Packers 14. Kansas City Chiefs Tier 4: The definition of an average defense15. San Diego Chargers 16. Denver Broncos 17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 18. New England Patriots 19. Washington Redskins Tier 5: Below average teams that have significant flaws in either the passing or run game20. Minnesota Vikings 21. Miami Dolphins 22. Carolina Panthers 23. Jacksonville Jaguars 24. Tennesee Titans 25. Oakland Raiders Tier 6: These teams need help immediatly. Someone needs to step up.26. Atlanta Falcons 27. New York Jets 28. Detroit Lions 29. Arizona Cardinals 30. New Orleans Saints 31. Indianapolis Colts 32. Cleveland Browns

rams should not be in the 3rd tier. more like 4th.
NYJ and MIA should be in the 4th tier. JAC should be in the 3rd

texans should be alot higher IMO
rams are way too high as well, because they need to prove it first

You're not missing any teams. You put 19 for both the Redskins and Vikings
Cardinals, Jets, Browns, Texans all have strong defenses, Cardinals, Texans and Jets all have strong linebackers capable of run stopping, Browns have a strong secondary

Now, are you saying the Giants have the #6 ranked D? If so, then I disagree. I think they are better than SEA and PHI.
The pass rush makes up for any flaws on the D, and with the only somewhat flaw being the LBs (which is no longer a flaw), I would say Giants are 4th (maybe 3rd, but eh)

I agree on where you have the Steelers, they just need one more CB IMO to have a truly elite D.

Now if you are going by what you think they will be AFTER the season, then I would TRULY put SEA 3rd, PIT 4th, NYG 5th, PHI 6th.
