So Jarvis Jones opens his mouth to the public that he won't fall past 17 (The Steelers pick).
NBC then reports that Jarvis Jones would love to play for Pittsburgh..
My conclusion:
A) Jarvis Jones is just trying to improve his draft stock, so that the teams that really want him either take him before the Steelers or someone trades up for him
B) He actually really dislikes the Steelers and doesn't want the Steelers to pick him, contrary to what he said to the reporter
It's obvious that the Steelers have likely told Jones that they will draft him if he's there at 17. I hope the Rams take him at 16, lol.

If I was the Steelers GM I would be pissed off at Jarvis Jones for opening his mouth

I'd be pissed also. It's liars month so maybe he was lying just like all the GM's.

Even though they've said they're targeting offense, I really believe in Jones to the Steelers.
Their needs, on defense, are growing by the year; it's more dire than a guard/receiver/tight end.

I HIGHLY doubt that the Steelers told Jarvis Jones that they would take him if he was there at 17. They hardly EVER tip their hand about picks and almost always take someone whom barely anyone projects to them. Jarvis Jones is more than likely trying to improve his Draft stock because he has been a popular pick at 17 in Mock Drafts.

And maybe they were lying. This week cracks me up. I've heard several players in the past say. "Hey they said they would take me and they didn't"
