He ran his 40 in the 4.7's. I've been reading that he's probably going to be a day 2 pick now.
Thoughts?

He's been anticipated to go in the second round, lately, so it's not too much of a shock. Should be a productive receiver, regardless, of when he goes.

I've been reading he'll likely go between picks 25-40. Most likely still a 1st round pick though as scouts have said he's a 4.5 player on tape.

I'd love to see him in Buffalo with the second round pick. He never was a speedy receiver, it isn't his main talent and teams that were looking at him probably weren't concerned.

There's a small chance he could go to Chicago in the 2nd round. I see Patterson, Austin, Hopkins for sure being drafted in front of him. Other players that could go in front could be Robert Woods, Quinton Patton, Terrance Williams, and Justin Hunter now.

I think he's still a late first round, and people are over reacting. He never had good straight line speed. If you watched any tape you'd know his strength is in his hands, route running, and quick lateral moves. He's got a juke like Percy Harvin and he's the most elusive WR i've seen in a while. He does that Chris Johnson thing were he doesn't run over guys, but it seems like no one ever gets more than a wrist on him.

Imo there isnt a significant difference between Patterson, Hopkins, Woods, Patton, Williams, and Hunter. Some are faster than the other, but from a talent prospective they are all pretty close. Personally I want a receiver, but I do not care if we take one in the late 1st round or late 2nd round, because the talent is all pretty close. That is unless Austin somehow slides to us, which is highly unlikely at this point.

Meh. 40 times are overrated, especially when talking about WRs. Does Allen have quickness off the line i.e. great acceleration? If so, that 4.7 doesn't really matter.
