I joined a 16 team keeper league after last season. The guy who put it together is real cool. we have our own forum and initiated a draft trading. So we all knew pretty much what guys we may take early and started drafting. now we ar in the third round and i would imagine not gonna go much further. Some of us want to see the draft first.
So on to my dilemma. I chose RB's as my first picks. I wound up with CJ Spiller and Alfred Morris. I was wanting a QB in the third round but didnt foresee the QB run that would happen at the end of the second round.
So here is who is left
Brady Romo Eli Manning ---edited Flacco Ben Vick Daulton Schaub Rivers Alex Smith Freeman Locker Cutler Bradford palmer Flynn Tannehill Kolb Ponder Sanchez--Ill stop here
I am 8 picks from my turn right now and Brady will be gone. I think all others will remain as the next few guys need Rb,s
So which of the listed QBs brady excluded do you guys think will do very well in fantasy this year? Or should I hold out and grab Geno or some other in the later rounds?
Im not even sure which rookies will be for sure starters at this point.

Don't draft a QB in the 3rd round, not even Brady or Manning. One thing we need to know is how many keepers do you get?
Your best bet is probably to draft the best WR here, what WR's are left? Also, what about the incoming rookies, are you allowed to draft them right now even though they aren't on a team?
Lastly, when you DO go for a QB, you can get a quality QB in like the 9th-10th round in a 16 team league. Go for Bradford. No homer pick here, but he will probably still be on the board in the 10th round (160th pick) because everyone overlooks Ram players. The Rams lost Steven Jackson, so I promise you Bradford will be stepping up. Additionally, the Rams are using a 1st rounder on a WR, so Bradford could put up big numbers this season and will be unmatched value in the 10th round... He probably be in the lower half of the top 16 but you will be stronger than everybody else at WR and RB so you'll be fine.
But yeah, make sure when you reply to us you tell us your scoring, keepers, who is on the board etc.
Edit: EVEN if Bradford isn't on the board in the 10th round (which I am 95% sure he will be), Kolb will still be there and you can wait even longer on Kolb (maybe 12th round), and he is going to be a SNEAKY pick this year.
Watch out for QB whores who draft like 3 of them. In a 16 team league, everyone should have 2 QB's. Some greedy people (like me), will stockpile QB's in the late round and screw over the other people. What happens when you do this?
A) If they waited on drafting a QB like you did, but waited even longer, then they're screwed and they won't be able to draft a starting QB.
or
B) They'll have their starting QB, but they're still screwed. Their QB could get injured, and on a bye week it's an auto loss for their team.
RESULT -
You force them into a trade for a lower-tier QB before the season even starts, or you trade them your starting QB for mega-value. It could be for future draft picks or for a decent quality player that you otherwise couldn't of gotten where you drafted the QB at.
I've done this before in multiple 16 team leagues because I am ruthless and force people into trades. Last year in my 16 team league, I had RG3 (I drafted him 2nd round, picked up Russell Wilson in like the 15th round, and drafted Blaine Gabbert). I shipped off shithead Gabbert and another lowly player for a 1st round pick next year to the fool who only had Matt Flynn (this was the preseason, he thought Matt Flynn would start). It's a great strategy, but I can't give away the rest of my strategic moves lol.
... That was the stupid Sun league I was in. I was kicked because of my team (and they didn't like my trash talk). I had Darren McFadden, Doug Martin, Steven Jackson, Russell Wilson, RG3, Julio Jones, Mike Williams TB, Greg Zuerlein, Clay Mathews, Anthony Spencer, Cameron Wake, Janoris Jenkins, Robert Quinn, a few other good players and I had 2 first round picks the next year. I started off the season 4-0 and then they kicked me. Mind you, this was a dynasty league, and they realized they were screwed, so I watched them bring in this terrible player who traded Russell Wilson straight up for Matt Schaub, and gave away one of my 1st round picks for Marcel Reece, AND traded Julio Jones for Nate Burleson and a 3rd round pick so that the teams would be more fair. It still pisses me off lol.

Draft Jake Locker. He has great weapons, and the Titans are transitioning him into the read-option.

I think juggs was being sarcastic though. I never really can tell though with you, man. You always seem so serious when talking about the Titans and I can't tell if you actually mean what you're saying...

I wouldn't actually recommend taking him in the third. I'd wait until AT LEAST the fourth.

And I actually agree with you. Mallett and Locker were my favorite 2 QBs from that class...I think he'll be pretty good. Kind of disappointing last season though and was kind of surprising to me...really expected him to do better. But he's still young. Hopefully he'll improve.

How are Mallett and Locker your favorites? They have barely done anything, and Newton, Kaep, and Dalton have all been top form. I mean, Locker's my favorite, but he's also the best QB period IMO, so you know.
