Jenrry Mejia was all the rage as the the new Ace for the Mets back in 2010 until injuires and eventual Tommy john surgery had him in the Minors the last two seasons.
But yesterday he made it back to the Majors finally and pitched great, 7 scoreless innings and the Mets could possibly be in very great shape headed into the home stretch and the future with another great arm to go along with Harvey and Wheeler who are both headed for stardom.
Lets Go Mets!!

Well, horrible weekend that started off so promising for the Mets is about finally over. They crushed the knats 11-0 in the 1st of a double header Friday and have now lost 3 straight to Harper's hair and co. Fuck

disappointing week for the redlegs. no match for the redhot dodgers losing 3 out of 4 to them. this sucks. need to beat the padres 2 out of 3 starting tomorrow to get some momentum before the st.louis series or we are screwed
ironically tomorrow is mat latos vs edinzon volquez. two former pitchers facing there old teams and both were involved in the trade where the reds gave up 4 guys for latos. even though it has worked out well for the reds, both time last year volquez faced the reds last year, he beat them both times even though the reds were 6-2 against them.
hope tomorrow isnt a repeat like the story. we cant seem to ever play well against former SP's who played for the reds.....EVER

The umpire in the Cards Buccos game is making a jackass out of himself.
Burnett shouldnt have done that but the reaction by the ump was absurd...

Guy from my hometown in pitching for the Cards! Hopefully he gets out of his slump.
Nice to hear the announcers talking about Pinehurst for a little bit.

Man the Pirates are even better than I thought. This game has been great so far.

Pirates sweep the double-header and take 3 out of 5 from the Cards while the Cards have lost 6 straight. 2 games left in the series with Jeff Locke and Charlie Morton left to pitch against Adam Wainwright and Joe Kelly respectively. This series has some playoff atmosphere to it and the fans are loving it. The Pirates are looking like they are hitting the stride they had early last season in the 2nd half of this year, which couldn't have come at a bigger time.

Pirates take Game 4 off of Russell Martin's game winning RBI single in the bottom of the 8th to win it 5-4 after being down 3-1 earlier in the game. 25th comeback win this season. Pirates getting ready to sweep the series tomorrow night which would be a HUGE statement.

Glad football is here. But if the steelers and my college teams start off sucking and the cards keep losing it could be a depressing fall....

There is no Crying in Baseball Every team has losing streaks....... The Cards are a class team and should be in the playoffs. The Bucks usually blow it at the end of the season.......
