Has anyone else here ever watched/seen/heard of/ played curling?
It may not be the most exciting sport in the world but its fun in the way that chess is fun.. but I am interested if I am the only one on here that actually watches it/ played it..

Never played it. But have seen it. I think its an olympic sport. Reminds me more of shuffle board than chess.
I like shuffle board, both out door with a stick and indoor with a beer. I like horse shoes also.

Its like shuffleboard and chess combined.. The shuffleboard aspect is throwing the rocks and trying to put them in place.. the Chess aspect is you have to out maneuver your opponent. You can't just throw rocks randomly and hop for the best you have to set up your end and predict what your opponent will do and then play the shot in which forces your opponent to do something they don't want to!

Its an ok game and would like to play it...however it is nothing like chess at all. Besides kicking someones ass completely with your bare hands, chess is the second best way to prove superiority to an adversary. Winning a game of chess tells the person across form you that he/she is beneath you. Its arm wrestling with your brains.
Curling is shuffleboard on ice which does sound like fun. Too bad Im in florida and dont have an ice pond to try it out on.
