Mobility: Perhaps one of the more underrated aspects of Wilson’s game is his mobility. He appears very comfortable off of bootleg play action, and has no trouble using his feet to buy time, or pick up yardage. The tape on the first half of the 2011 Arkansas/LSU game really gives the viewer a good idea of his deceptive foot speed. “Mobility/Athleticism: Wilson is a sneaky athlete that can climb the pocket and also take off and gain yardage if and when needed. I think this a major strength for Wilson as he doesn’t need to have a clean pocket to make plays. Do some research on his mobility or watch some film and you'll see he's not as "immobile" as you think he is. He's not gonna be running by defenders but he can pick up yardage with his feet when he needs to. And he has good mobility in the pocket. To be fair, in my own opinion Wilson can be mobile. But Geno is much more mobile than Wilson even if Wilson is mobile. I don't think Wilson will be able to be a 'mobile' passer who can run when he needs to in the NFL. I don't think he is enough of an athlete to do it consistently. On the other hand, Geno Smith will probably be able to do it on a very consistent basis. And being mobile in the pocket and being mobile around the field are two very different things.

Haha!! Good one Craig!! lol What happens in the event a team doesn't get their pick in time? Pretty sure the team on deck can submit their pick then so they basically just get skipped

And lol, 40 times have nothing to do with mobility. Look at Drew Brees' 40 time. It's 4.83. Only a tenth of a second faster than Wilson's. I don't think anybody here would call Brees immobile, would you?
Me and Jancey are talking about mobility in the pocket. Not mobility as in being a dual threat QB. The ability to step up in the pocket, avoid the rush, good footwork... Wilson has that.

I've watched Manuel. I've watched Geno. Even FSU fans say Manuel sucks. I personally don't like either. Has nothing to do with color. Genos 67% completion percentage and insane TD-int ratio goes real nice with his speed. Would like to hear these FSU fans who dont like Manuel, the guy took em further than any QB in a long time. floridastate.247sports.com/Board/36/EJ-Manuel-16888992/1"as good as EJ was, there are non-stats that really stalled our offense and lead to some of our losses. When we really needed that 3rd down conversion, we wouldn't get it. He would turn it over at the worst times and he would take bone headed sacks, many of which were at the worst possible times." "He is very gifted physically but he does not have the mental fortitude or consistency to warrant being taken in the first round." "He'll do well in combine/pro-day in terms of drills and running. He should interview well personality-wise, but he just doesn't make reads and decisions very well and that will show at some point. If you go back and evaluate all his tape, it just becomes glaringly obvious. He also cracked for the UF game and the only big game the scouts are circling where he was great was Clemson. We didn't play anybody all year." __________________________________________ 247sports.com/Board/30/EJ-Manuel-15399820/1

@nflfootball: I wasn't comparing Geno's and smith's mobility. Geno is obviously more mobile. But Wilson, when faced with pressure, has the mobility to slip it and move around with his feet. And pick up several yards on the ground if needed/given the opportunity.

Shit Jancey, I could have sworn when 2 days ago the Article came out they said half of his passes were defended. I must have misread. Apologies.
In the pocket I would say wilson has the edge. And Brees is smaller and quick and it was almost 2 tenths of a second difference;) We shall see fellas
