Sophomore RB Michael Dyer has been dismissed from Arkansas State for violating team rules by head coach Gus Malzahn. "I am truly disappointed that it didn’t work out here at ASU for Mike," said Malzahn. "I wish Mike nothing but the best in the future." This comes on the heels of a rumor that Dyer had discussed transferring to the D-II level in order to play during the 2012 after his immediate eligibility request was denied following his transfer from Auburn. At a press conference just over a week ago, Dyer stated he would redshirt the 2012 season and play for the Red Wolves in 2013. Preseason practices open in a matter of days, so Dyer's best option would be to transfer down a level and rekindle his draft status by hitting the field. However, there are double transfer rules so we will keep you updated on if those apply to Dyer's situation. Jul 29 - 8:09 PM Source: Graham Watson on Twitter
Another bonehead with great talent.... chances that he even plays this year?

zilch. If he transfers the rules state you have to sit out a year and I don't know who would take him.

Dyer will attend Arkansas Baptist college. He isn't going to play football for them though.
