We recently had a project in school that relied on the TED talk platform. Now, I've experienced them before, and use to love watching the presentations, but somewhere a long the way I forgot about them. I'm glad that I've had this chance to find them again. What they are is by definition: "TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences -- the TED Conference on the West Coast each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer -- TED includes the award-winning TED Talks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize." I posted this one in my Washington thread but I'll post it again here for those who did not see it up above, as well as a couple of examples to better explain what they are. This one is from Sir Robinson on changing the way we educate our children. And this is from Jane McGonigal on how games can make you live longer, and the one I did my thesis on: The rest of the site is found at www.TED.com and they have a wide variety of speakers on many topics, and I encourage everyone to watch some and too open your mind to the subjects they talk about. AGAIN THIS IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS, ONLY A WAY OF THINKING.

I haven't had a chance to find it yet, but I probably will now since I have some time since I can't sleep haha. There are a lot of great ideas there, and things that make you stop and think. Can only imagine what the glowing animals one is about, and how they approach bioluminescence.

I've watched a group of those on psychology including the first one you had. Some I really like and others are rather disappointing. I would watch more but I've been super busy.
