There is a difficult debate regarding who is the best between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, but there's another difficult one: who should be the Offensive Rookie of the Year? Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III? That is just a sign of things to come when they get better. Griffin has had the better stats, but he plays in an easy scheme, while Luck plays in a much more complex offense designed by offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, the vertical offense. Arians likes Luck's mistakes so he can learn with them, because Arians isn't worried about today's Luck. He is worried about the Luck of the future. Here's a link posted by one of the minority of smart people of the Colts blog at the Colts blog: bleacherreport.com/articles/1433597-afc-south-all-22-review-arians-offense-means-high-risk-reward-for-andrew-luck

I love now Doug Martin isn't even in consideration. I mean, he is only 3rd in rushing yards and tied for second in rushing TDs(and alone in second in total TDs) in the league. But I guess, since he is just a lowly HB, he can't win a major award.

The muscle hamster is definitely in consideration...but Luck turned the Colts around from 2-14 to 9-4 currently..and he's had very good numbers and done very well with what he has to work with...the only thing he's done wrong is INTs

I suppose I should have been more clear. My comment was not directed specifically at you. It is just built-up frustration about all of the OROY discussions I have seen on NFl Network and ESPN. The only 2 names usually mentioned are Luck and RG3. Several have even said Russell Wilson. But I have not heard Martin mentioned even 1 time.

QB driven league now a days...basically a virtual lock that you see QBs win MVP and OFF rook of the year

What makes it even worse is how hard it is for defensive players to win MVP. Take Aldon Smith, for example. The guy has 19.5 sacks with 3 games left to play and only needs 3.5 more to break the single season record, which he's got a very good chance to break... yet, even if he is in the running for it by season's end, I bet he won't even crack the top 5
