I think Godfrey is serviceable for now, I want to replace him in the future.
I'd keep Nebblett.
Team is prepping for the future, fighting for next year is not an option.

I agree with trading Williams, Beason, and Gross.
Williams isn't needed, nor has he been needed since Stewart took over the load in '10 after Williams went on IR. Goodson even did a solid job as the backup then, as well, which is why before they even resigned him, I felt they should have kept Stewart and Goodson and let Williams walk.
It's hard for me to say, but Beason isn't needed anymore as well. With Kuechly playing lights out at MLB and Davis's rebirth on the outside, there isn't room for him anymore. Plus, Jordan Senn is a serviceable OLB to replace Davis if he were ever to go down. I'm just happy Davis is finally playing again.
Gross might still be the best OL we have outside of Kalil, but he isn't playing anywhere close the way he used to play. It's looking like his best days are far behind him.
We could probably get anywhere b/w a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th for Williams from a team like the Cardinals who have trouble with injuries at that position. Beason would garner AT LEAST a 2nd or 3rd from teams in need of a young, high profile MLB such as the Titans, Colts, or Cardinals. Maybe even the Steelers to add more youth to their aging defense or Ravens who will be looking for Ray Lewis's heir soon. Gross, on the other hand, I wouldn't see getting much in return for him if we could even trade him at all.
You have to wonder, though. If the new GM comes in and starts cleaning house with the coaching staff and cutting/trading these types of players... would Steve Smith really stick around for a second rebuild? I honestly don't see him playing for another team, which leaves me to believe he would retire if this happens. At this point, Smith only has two more years left in him at the most. The only way I'd see him staying would be to continue mentoring the younger players on the team. Outside of that reason, this might be Smitty's last season.

Sad thing is, I knew that last Bucs drive in regulation was going to end with them scoring. I knew it before the illegal hit was called on Davis. I knew it before the Bucs offense even stepped on the field. Why? Because this is what we do. This makes the 5th out of the last 6 losses where we A. blew a 4th quarter lead with less than 3 minutes to play and lose, or B. have a good chance to take the lead on our final offensive drive and win but fail to do so. It's who we are now. Fucking choke artists who just can't hold it together. And that call on Davis was horse shit and here's why. I wish I had a GIF to show, but you can just look at the replay and see. For one, Davis didn't lead with his head. In fact, he turned his head completely to the side and hit him with his shoulder. Yes, their helmets made contact but there's a reason why that happened and it wasn't b/c of Davis. The reason why their helmets hit was b/c when Underwood came down with the ball, he braced for the hit by LOWERING his head. Had he not lowered his head, it never would have gotten hit and Davis made every attempt to turn his head to side and hit with him with his shoulder pads... which brings me to my next reason why it was bullshit. Underwood was NOT a defensive-less receiver! He had time after catching the ball to take two steps, cover the ball, AND brace for the hit buy lowering his head. Even the commentators made a remark about how late the flag was thrown and how the ref that threw the flag only did so AFTER he looked back and saw Underwood lying on the ground hurt. I'm all for calling penalties on intentional helmet-to-helmet hits, but that's the one thing that irks me about the unintentional ones that result in penalties that happen solely b/c the offensive player starts to crouch or fall down right before getting hit, resulting in the defensive player hitting his helmet. If the offensive didn't start falling, the hit would be in the numbers, not the helmet. Yet, it's the defensive players fault... even if he makes every attempt NOT to use his helmet like Davis did. That was a huge call that shouldn't have been b/c, with no timeouts and under a minute to play, it stopped the clock for the Bucs and gave them 33 yards. Had that call not have been made, our chances of winning would have been much higher. i know how you feel, thats how the saints season has been this year. every loss this season (except against the broncos, they were murdered that game) was a winable game. they either couldnt come back from a 1 possession deficit with time on the clock or they blew a lead they had in the 4th. but lucky for us kromer is no longer the head coach, he was a huge reason they lost the first 4 games

I thought about this too, and agree with your thoughts. I almost hope we trade Smith so he can get a ring.

He's got a legitimate point about all six of those close losses.
