Honestly, both Gurley and Gordon are good college backs and might make good NFLers in the end, but if I had my choice I think I'd take a long look at Ameer Abdullah out of Nebraska. I've seen all the backs in the country but THIS guy seems to me to be the most impressive. Every time that guy had a chance he made something happen. I think the lack of other talent on the team or poor coaching was the only thing that kept him from being in the conversation of best back in the country.
Anyway, given my very much KNOWN disdain for anything Nebraska, I think this should come as a surprise to most folks, but at least you know I'm honest about it!

I think he could make an average NFL back at best.. Gurley and Gordon I think are both guaranteed to be stars..

Juggs MarchingOnI dont think 40 times are that significant, unless they are really bad( like low 4's or high 5's). Football speed is a lot different than track speed, which is really all the 40 time measures. De'anthony Thomas ran a 4.5 and he was very clearly one of the quickest guys on the football field. Kadeem Carey ran a 4.68 last year and I was convinced that he would be a 4.3 to 4.4 guy based on the speed I saw on the football field. Of course those two are not great examples if you are looking for good NFL backs.
