I'm being offered Doug Martin, DeAndre Hopkins and L.Fitz in exchange for AJ Green. It's "somewhat" tempting. PPR league with large bonuses for TD's scored of 40/50+yds.
Hopkins seems to be a star in the making, starting the season on a roll, with a touchdown in Weeks 1 and 2 and a 100-yard game in Week 3. He's even been dubbed as an " amazingly talented receiver". I just have a hard time believing he will stay consistent on a weekly basis. If he can remain even close to consistent as he's playing now, wouldn't be much of a drop off at all from AJ Green production. Big if though, right?
Doug Martin is obviously the X factor in this deal. Rainey fumbled the ball TWICE last week, so I fully expect Martin to take the reigns back when fully healthy. I'm just not sold that he'll ever again come close to producing like he did in his rookie campaign(1,454-yard, 11-touchdown 2012 season). Especially considering in 2013, he only averaged a lackluster 3.6 yards per carry before a shoulder injury ended his season. Also take into consideration that TB will most likely be trailing in most games, and forced to pass the ball a ton. "Maybe" they check down to him on more screens in that scenerio, or try to get him in open space on small pass plays? IDK
Larry Fitz is a non-factor in this deal. IF I decide to pull the trigger on this deal(BIG if), I'd probably have him take Larry out so I don't have to drop someone else of more value on my bench.
My current team:
Cutler
Bortles
Giovani Bernard
Rashad Jennings
Joique Bell
Antonio Brown
AJ Green
Cordarrelle Patterson (someone has put Cobb on trading block and I'm offering Patterson, since Patterson get's no points for return yds in that league) Breaking News: Just pulled off this trade (lol...welcome to Tombstone Mr. Cobb)
James Jones
Allen Robinson
Larry Donnell, NYG TE
Zach Ertz
DAL K
CAR D & MIA D
