Good on USA.. Can't say I am happy that they won, but they capitalized on their chances where as Ghana (who totally outplayed them) didn't. Ghana couldn't finish worth crap today and it cost them a win against the team in the division who should have beat. But good on USA. Here is what I would have picked for you Morkim.

I think it's funny how the USA and Canada are like the best of friends when it comes to trading goods and things of that nature, but in sports, we absolutely hate each other.

Man USA looked terrible in that game. If Ghana hadn't spent every second trying to launch balls in, they would have won. All USA did all game was one quick counter attack, they won a corner kick and they defended cross. USA did nothing to control the ball or set up chances. They play like that against Germany and even Portugal and they will get manhandled. What poor game by both teams. I have to admit, the US didn't play as well as I'd hoped. But I'm optimistic we may have a better gameplan for Portugal. With Pepe out on a red card and Portugal's left back going out with an injury, their back line will be weaker than normal so that bodes well for the US. But they will still have to deal with Ronaldo and Nani, and the majority of the US team never plays against players of that caliber in club or international play. I expect their defence to have a tough day, and they seem to be built more as a "defend and counter" type of team, rather than a "control and attack" type, so there will be a major storm to weather. They will have to play incredible defence and capitalize on every counter if they want to win.

Fabulous game by Mexico's goalkeeper. He had an answer for everything Brazil wanted to do.

Fabulous game by Mexico's goalkeeper. He had an answer for everything Brazil wanted to do. That was an exciting game for it being a 0-0 draw. I find myself really rooting for Germany and Belgium. I was so frustrated with Belgium for the first 60 minutes of their game though... All the possession but no creativity in the attack, kind of like Ghana, but when they finally found their sense of urgency and started setting up real plays, the game got a lot more fun to watch. Algeria may be might least favorite team of the tournament.

I will forever hate Luis Suarez for his handball in the 2010 world cup, and they were playing dirty the whole game against Costa Rica a couple days ago. Especially Maxi Pereira with his red card at the very end of that game.

Uruguay is quite dirty, always have been, but at least they have talent and can make for exciting matches.
