You have got to be kidding. Dennis Rodman right? Or no? Yeah, he meant Rodman. But there's no way a washed up Ray Allen even comes close to the prime Rodman that the Bulls had. I mean, heck, even a prime Rodman > a prime Allen.

I know stats obviously aren't everything.. But the guy never averaged over 11.6 PPG in his entire career.

The thing about Rodman though, is Rodman is often hailed as the best rebounder of all time. He's also one of the best defenders of all time, seeing as he made 7 all-defensive first teams, and two DPOYs. Ray Allen was a tremendous scorer, but in other areas of the game, he lacks.

Going away from Lebron v. Jordan and back to the Heat and Melo topic for a minute. Weren't a lot of analysts and fans saying the Lakers with Nash, Kobe, Gasol, and Howard suppose to run rough shot over the entire league and be one of the best teams in history? Yeah 8th seed and swept in the playoffs is really dominating the league. There is no guarantee that Melo Bron Wade and Bosh will be able to work together. Back to Jordan and Lebron...one thing I'll give the Jordan era was the talent was more evenly spread out back then. You had the Lakers, Pistons, Knicks, Rockets, Celtics, Jazz, Blazers, Suns, and Sonics all making the Finals in those years while Jordan was playing.

Wade is a shell of himself and Melo is strictly a scorer. I'd be more concerned if the Heat were going after Dwight Howard or Kyrie Irving or another young star that has versatility. Adding Mello isn't a huge deal IMO. With Melo I think it SA still beats Mia.

Do the Heat even have a guy who is a consistent rebounder?
