With the 70th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons select Carl Bradford, OLB, Arizona State Bartu played very well for an undrafted rookie, but he wasn't starting caliber. Carl Bradford is a great defensive player, and he will take this Falcons defense to the next level. STRENGTHS: Sports a compact, powerful frame. Highly instinctive, physical and versatile defender who splits his time between defensive end, outside linebacker and inside linebacker. Good initial quickness off the snap out of the three-point stance, showing enough speed to cross the face of the offensive tackle, as well as an effective club, rip and spin moves to break free. Surprisingly effective when run at due to his quickness and use of leverage, bending to take out the knees of oncoming blockers and creating a pile. Adept at slipping blocks. Locates the football quickly and shows an explosive burst to close emphatically. Only occasionally asked to drop back into coverage but shows at least fair fluidity and speed when doing so. Alert player with a history of making big plays. More than the sum of his parts. Good special teams performer who often served as the personal protector in the punting game. plax

Puts me to ease that I will finally have this guy on my team. Throughout the draft, I have told people that picked Wide Receivers that I had at least one guy ahead of that player; and that is dating back to the selections of Allen Robinson, Brandin Cooks, and Jordan Matthews. With the 71st pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole MissDonte Moncrief is one of my favorite prospects in the draft. In fact, I have him as my fourth ranked WR, with a case for me to put him all the way to number two. I have been scouting this man before I even started this community offseason; and I have come away with nothing but awe. He can go up for any ball and come down with it. He has extremely strong hands. His double move is among the best that I have ever seen for a guy coming into the pros; and the rest of his breakaway and room-creating ability is simply remarkable. He is a top tier deep threat due to those reasons. He is also a very fluid route runner. There is only ONE flaw that I see in Moncrief - speed. He does not have the speed of a Sammy Watkins or players of the like. However, he is deceptively fast after the catch and countless times he grabs a ball and outruns the defender for a score. With all of those attributes stated - who might he remind you of? Hakeem Nicks. I watch Moncrief and I see the Hakeem Nicks of the 2012 playoffs wrecking havoc on opposing teams. I really wanted to get Nicks back and then get Moncrief along with it, but can't win them all. Instead, the situation is better. I have a veteran receiver in Boldin who is on a short-term deal; who Moncrief will learn from. Oh yeah, I cannot make a selection without mentioning Mara who said that the offense was broken. Well, between the Free Agent additions and the draft selections of TE Eric Ebron, OT Cyrus Kouandjio, and WR Donte Moncrief, I think Mara will be satisfied with the production of the New York Giants offense next season. mitch9234 OTC

With the 73rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Yawin Smallwood ILB Connecticut Kiko Alonso was a stud inside as a rookie last year, but the other spot needs to be upgraded, Smallwood as a run stopper will complement Alonso's play well. Beastified OTC

With the 74th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Pierre Desir, CB, Lindenwood Lindenwood is a smaller school that is no more than 20-30 minutes away from where I live, so for that reason I automatically kind of like this guy. Desir is a big corner that seems to only be around a 2nd/3rd round prospect because of where he played, not because of his skill or potential. Desir is an interesting prospect and will further reinforce the Lions' secondary. With Gilbert and now Desir, the Lions will be in a great position to succeed. nflfootball11 otc

With the 75th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Josh Mauro DE Stanford The aging Justin Smith must be replaced at some time, Mauro rotating in at DE will give Smith breathers and allow for him to begin to learn the NFL become Smith's replacement once he retires. steelersfan4life56

With the 76th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Keith McGill, CB/S, Utah CBSSports analysis: STRENGTHS: Tall, well-proportioned athlete with intriguing fluidity and straight-line speed. Frequently asked to play press in Utah's scheme and displays the balance, agility and acceleration to perform well in this role at the next level. Alert defender who plays the ball well, using his height, leaping ability and long arms to bat away passes. Baits quarterbacks into throwing underneath routes and shows an explosive downhill burst to close. Generally effective open-field tackler with the long arms to wrap securely. Signed with Utah as a JUCO All-American free safety at Cerritos College and logged five starts in this role for the Utes in 2011. Has the length, instincts and athleticism to project nicely in the NFL. Served as the gunner on kick coverage and handled outside duties on punt returns. WEAKNESSES: Often lines up with his hips open, helping him turn more efficiently to run downfield with receivers. Often sneaks in a strong pop on the receivers deep downfield, which could earn him holding penalties in the NFL. While physically imposing, McGill shows only average toughness, too often hand-fighting with smaller receivers' blocks downfield rather than aggressively defeating them and attacking the ballcarrier. A bit hesitant when forced to break down and make tackles in the open field and can resort to lunging attempts at arm tackles rather than driving through the ballcarrier. Only fair hands for the interception and will occasionally drop easy picks (Arizona State). Missed as many games as he played while at Utah, losing the final eight games of the 2011 season due to a shoulder injury and rehabbing the entire 2012 campaign following surgery to correct the issue. COMPARES TO: Trumaine Johnson, Rams -- Like the young Rams standout, McGill has the length and athleticism scouts adore at cornerback. Whereas Johnson had to answer character questions before getting drafted, NFL teams may need reassurance of McGill's durability before drafting him as high as his talents warrant. coltsrockjcr

With the 77th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Kareem Martin DE, North Carolina ======= At 6' 6'' 275, Martin has great athleticism for his size. At one point was considered a top-10 pick. Shows the raw talent to be a force on the edge (12 sacks SR year) and on the inside in run defense (80 tackles SR year). Needs to improve in his moves and consistency wise. Relied too much on pure strength and speed in college. Potential to be great in this league. Under defensive guru HC Lovie Smith and DC Leslie Frazier, Martin should flourish. Partially makes up for TB being snubbed on Clowney and should end up starting immediately and should be a huge steal for the 3rd round down the road dreday36

With the 78th pick of the NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Marcus Smith, DE, Louisville============ This guy is absolutely one of my FAVOURITE players in this draft, and I cant believe some of these other OLBs and DE's have been picked before him. On my board he is the 4th ranked DE and my 4th ranked OLB (I put him as both because he simply can and has played both positions.) He was 2nd in the nation in sacks with 14.5 and won the AAC Defensive player of ye year. Smith is flying way too under the radar, but believe me he will rise. I see a versitile player with the complete package. Incredibly impressive speed and first step. Plays the run and does an excellent job containing the edge. He uses his hands very impressivley as a pass rusher, which in Louisville he was asked to do mostly, and did well. He played ILB, Leo LB, Rush LB and put his hand in the dirt as a DE. He even dropped back in coverage. Smith can fit in any ideal system because he is versitile enough. The Bears need a second DE to pair with Ealy, as Peppers was let go. By drafting a guy like Smith, we can plug him in at various places, like strong side LB or his natural position of DE, and we can be very versitile with our schemes. Watch this guys tape in the Russell's Athletics Bowl. He's going to be a stud. mitch9234

With the 79th pick of the NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State Second best player available, and backup for Donald Brown, it's better to stay cautious because he had only one good season so far. With a good interior offensive line I'm sure both will work out just fine. MarchingOn
