you would save 3,100,000 by releasing Kolb you would save 1,000,000 by releasing Moeaki you would save 730,000 by releasing Easley However, you would LOSE 5,250,000 by releasing Wood, so I doubt you would want to do that. are the other three moves fine with you? Whoops must have messed up on the calculator, I'm fine with everything except for Wood. So the three saves overthecap.com/teamcap.php?Team=bills&Year=2014this is the site that you should use. as you see, the number for the cap saving next to Wood is in parentheses, meaning that the team would lose that money, not gain it.

Arizona officially cuts: Mike Leach, LS Ryan Williams, RB Drew Stanton, QB you would save 1,333,332 by releasing Stanton you would save 1,025,000 by releasing Leach (i cannot find Williams on OverTheCap, soooo) you would save 1,025,000 by releasing Ryan Williams are you fine with these 3 moves? Yes. Assuming you searched for him, he is listed as Ryan Gene Williams.

The New York Jets are releasing the following players: David Harris, ILB Nick Mangold, C Santonio Holmes, WR Kyle Wilson, ? Chris Ivory, RB Mark Sanchez, QB dude, what are you doing? first off, the Jets HAVE money, so they do not need to make DIRE changes. Harris gives them 5mil, yes, but he is their best LB and has been for years You want to release a top 5 center in Mangold for a gain of less than 2mil. Unless Mangold can net you 10+ mil, it makes NO sense to let him go Holmes makes sense If anything, Kyle Wilson is a trade option, not a release option You want to release Chris Ivory, a guy the team traded for LAST year, to only gain 250k!? Sanchez makes sense. I just don't know if you were even serious with all of them but Holmes and Sanchez

In that case, I will keep Mangold and Ivory. I am trading with MO for Ingram and I thought Ivory had a high CAP hit but NVM. And no, I want to release Kyle Wilson. From what I read he will save me 2m+ on CAP. Harris too. The guy is old and I doubt he plays at the same level next year. Don't worry. I have plans to replace him. So cut all of them except Ivory and Mangold.

Wilson will save you just over 1,000,000 in CAP, and I am sure an owner would take him for a draft pick. It just makes no sense to lose him for nothing when a team can trade for him. Harris is not old lol. He is their leader on defense and the best player on their LB corp. He is only 29 and can play for another 6 years. Yes, the power is in the hands of you guys to make moves, but when a team has over 25mil in CAP, there is no need to release your leader on defense. I just do not get what you are doing, man. Makes no sense to me.

In the end, if you do not know what is wrong with the Jets roster and know what to do to fix it, I would advise you to choose another 2nd team, one you know about.
It seems you are just assuming the problems there and were about to release a top 5 center in the league, their leader on defense, their no.2 CB, and their cheap starting RB.

The new leaders of the D are Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson, not David Harris. I need all the CAP room I can get, I am making many moves. They HAVE talent.....on defense, and you are taking it away with trying to move Harris and Wilson. The Jets do not NEED to rebuild. They need OFFENSE, and maybe a NT, OLB, and S on defense. you getting rid of Harris and Wilson for a combined saving of 6mil is dumb, because you are going to spend that amount on replacements for them, and lose continuity on defense. SRich and Wilk are not the leaders on that defense, sorry to tell you man. In a few years, yeah, but Harris has been there and done that, and IS their leader.

and you seem to forget that at this point, FA is going to be a bidding war where the highest bid gets the player.
so if you think you are gonna get Beason, Spikes, or Butler for LESS than 5mil per year, good luck, because I can guarantee they will be CLOSE to that, if not more.

I see Beason and Spikes as WAY better players than Harris so I'd be willing to pay more than 5 mil if I have to. Also, the #2 cb guy Wilson isn't any good, why would anyone trade for him?
