I've done some thinking over the last couple days, and I've really changed my attitude on AJ Mccarron. I think he'll be a very good pro QB. I have slammed him on here a couple times, saying that "he's a game manager and nothing more", but now I'm beginning to believe he's more than that.
He plays a game manager role because Saban asks him to, Alabama isn't a team to go all pass-happy like that. I believe AJ would be very successful in a high-flying offense as well though.. He has pinpoint accuracy, very good pocket presence, always makes great decisions with the ball, and most importantly imo, he elevates his performance in big games/big situations. He seems like a pretty good leader as well imo.

Teams that need QBs in order of importance:
Houston Jacksonville New York Jets Minnesota Tennessee Arizona
I don't see any other teams taking a QB with the intention to start right away unless the Bears or Rams give up on their starters this year, or Peyton or Brady retire. But again, those are big hypotheticals.
Unless McCarron is a top 6 QB, he won't go in the first two rounds. He's got to beat out either Bridgewater, Carr, Manziel, Hundley, Mettenberger, or Boyd. Unless Zach's injury is worse than we think, McCarron is behind those names and more. So he's probably a day 3 pick.

I think I might take Mccarron over a healthy Mett anyways. Tajh Boyd sucks. 1.Teddy 2a. Carr 2b. Hundley 3. Mccarron 4. Manziel 5. Mett imo.

McCarron being that high. Manziel is probably a top 10, if not top 5 pick. Mett will likely stay in the first two rounds unless it's worse than we understand. And what about the other guys? David Fales and Tajh Boyd will hear their names called first unless Al Davis comes back from the dead. No... To all of that. Except Mett being in the first two rounds. I still think that could happen despite his injury.

Teddy is going top 5. Carr is going top 10. Manziel is going top 15. Hundley is going top 35. Boyd is going top 50.
Mettenberger and McCarron are iffy. I see Mettenberger going late-2nd-to-mid-3rd. And McCarron has a chance to be in that same region.
