I like it better than Madden 13.... if that means anything to you but that one tutorial drill is driving me crazy! As sacrilegious as this may sound to some - I usually prefer the NCAA football games to Madden. I like the idea of having tons of teams on there, and I love the recruiting part of it. I don't like the BCS nonsense in it, but oh well...I also love the Teambuilder function within it. Madden NEEDS to add that (big time) to future versions of their game. I've been considering getting this one. I might be picking it up this week because I'd like to have an online dynasty with a bunch of us if possible. Plus - the named rosters from Operation Sports should be completed by this weekend (hopefully) and that ALWAYS helps. Its worth it. I honestly love it. The game play is fantastic. If Madden 25 is half as good as this it will be twice as good as Madden 13 (which was a waste of money).

I liked the 'coaching' part of it where you would call plays and let your team run them. Is that in the new one too?

I think the named rosters are already out? I'm gonna download it tmrw morning. Ok noob question. You are allowed to customize your schedule and choose any non-conference game you want. If you want to be the #1 seed by season's end, is it better to try and take on those high seeds, just any seeds or a team that you know you can blow out? Also, put it at the beginning of the season or later on?

Also, put it at the beginning of the season or later on? You are allowed to customize your schedule at the start of each season, except that FIRST season, which I think is LOCKED because it's the actual schedule and you're starting out, etc. It is always better to play the better teams if you can, but remember you have to be able to make the schedule work for YOUR team and THEIR team. Sometimes when you wanna play a team they aren't available, so keep an eye on that. If you play the higher ranked teams, TWO things happen. 1 - You help your cause by improving your ranking by beating them. 2 - You knock them down a notch, which helps you out in rising within the standings, which by season's end should help you in the quest for the championship. NOTE: You cannot replace league games for other games featuring higher ranked teams, only the "non-conference" games can be replaced. Unless you are using a really bad team to build into a contender, which I like doing sometimes (kinda fun actually), and you can't take on the big boys yet due to the skill level of your team, then I'd say that you always wanna look at playing the toughest teams. Otherwise, try taking on a few mid teens ranked teams. Maybe two or so. It's not gonna move your team up to the top of the standings, but remember that if you DO start with a bad team they won't be ranked very highly to start out, so it could be a few weeks into the season before you make an appearance in the Top 25.

You can customize it during the 1st season if you want... I played around with the dynasty mode before I get the actual updated rosters. I had the option of playing Alabama in the 1st week if I chose too

Is the ability to just coach the team still included in the new one?

So this is worth a "buy" then, even though I have last year's game? In the one exhibition game I played, I noticed the gameplay is significantly better on this years game. I havent looked at any other information, and never got the chance to play around with other modes so I cant say any thing about that, but the gameplay alone will probably lead me to buy the game although I might still get a rental to test out dynasty mode.

Well this is the 1st NCAAF game I have played since like 2009. It looks great and is better than I remember, but I guess I'm just a Madden guy. Im not gonna go return it yet or anything, but its just not as good as Madden.
I HATE.... let me say again HATEEEEE, how you cant look from left to right at your WRs before you snap the ball. I also dont like how you run out of stamina very fast, and the gameplay just seems slower than Madden.
I also dont like how its pretty hard to play defense in the game, especially stop the run. I guess thats just standard for NCAAF games...
It is fun running the option stuff. Cant do too much of that in Madden.
Cant wait til Madden 25 comes out.
Anyone have NCAA14 for ps3 and want to play online sometime?
