Rand Paul had (by far) the least TV time of all candidates. He had the last with 4:51 and the next closest had almost a minute more with 5:43. And that was with his exchange with Christie and multiple with Trump. He literally got asked like 2, maybe 3 question. Sick of this garbage.
At least Trump showed his true colors and how much of a joke he is. Man, what an idiot. No one would be talking about immigration if it wasn't for you? That's been a huge topic for a LONG time. He got absolutely slaughtered on every question.

Who else is watching the debate? I watched it, I thought Kasich did the best. Eh. He didn't do or say anything to help or hurt him imo.

I wasn't really listening for agreeing with what they said because I'm far left (and because it's a bad format for nuanced and convincing argumentation). I was mostly listening for them to sound coherent and non-ridiculous which I thought he did the best job of. I also meant best like I thought he seemed most reasonable. I think perhaps Trump did the best if you mean who helped themselves the most. No one stood out in my opinion for doing anything to garner public support, so on one hand he wins by default as the current leader. On another, he seemed in many ways to fit in with the other candidates, and looked liked he belongs. Interestingly enough, I think that Trump can seem non-ridiculous just goes to show how weak the debates are for gauging the candidates.

I was kind of pro trump guy up until tonight. I thought he stunk. He says the same thing every time. He offers no real plan. He just says he can do it. Dr. Ben Carson who is the only other non politician really impressed me with his soft talk and intelligence. I went to you tube to find the part where he said we need to stop blaming race on everything. But I didn't find it. I found this. And talk about a calm, smart, quick thinking man. Watch this. It's a year old.

I think a lot of that has to do with the format, there's not much more you are going to get out of anyone on there. Everyone gives their basic answer (that they already have drilled into their minds from months of campaigning) and they know they run a high chance of being bitten if they try to throw anything new out there on live-tv. I agree with your assessment of him, but I think he did the same thing everyone did tonight. As for Ben Carson, I unfortunately only know him from the out of context quotes and other things I have occasionally seen from left sources (So, basically, I don't know him at all). I was hoping to get more out of him today, but I don't feel like he offered much of anything except basic conservative-republican statements.

I personally think this new age of liberalism is totally destroying this country. It's gotten so disgusting and out of control. EVERYONE is forced to watch what they say, or be persecuted for having an opinion....if it isn't politically correct. It's total BS. This country NEEDS someone to stand up to that BS and just say and do what's best for THIS country, despite how some dipshit's feel!

It was basically the Fox News people asking the candidates questions, and then the candidates very briefly state their views. I feel like I didn't learn anything about any of the candidates, which is disappointing. There was next to no actual back and forth between the candidates, which is what I thought I was tuning in for.

Paul had a few exchanges with Trump and the obvious big one with Christie who tried to win by pulling a cheap 9/11 card.

I saw that Paul got the least amount of time, but he had back and forths with Trump and Christie. I was wondering if that counted as his time (or at least half of it his time) or if it counted as solely Trump's and Christie's which is what I suspected.
