Joe Theismann's broken leg is the only thing I have seen worse than that. This may actually be worse. It looks bad.,,and even if he does recover it will take 3 to 4 years. He wont be the same nor will he run the same.

That was awful. I only saw it on replay then all the sports networks decided to show it like...200 more times. I couldn't watch it after that first time seeing it, when I didn't know what I was about to see.
I've seen too many of these kinda injuries. Theismann's was bad and it was on Monday Night Football (in 1985). He was hit by Lawrence Taylor and I think Gary Reasons on that play.
If anyone remembers Napolean McCallum, he was a running back with the Raiders - and his leg was pulled in the opposite direction (almost off!) on Monday Night Football (again) at the start of 1994 (I believe).
Tim Krumrie's leg broke and flopped around every which way in Super Bowl XXIII. He played for Cincy. That one was famous too because it was in the Super Bowl and he was one of the best DT/NT in the league at the time.
In 1987 Denver was playing a game in Minnesota (I think it was a Sunday Night Game) and the Broncos had a guy named Gerald Wilhite on their team at the time. He was famous for doing a back-flip after scoring a TD (before penalties for that kinda thing). Anyway, he was running for a TD and just before he reached the end zone Minnesota DB Joey Browner "horse-collared" him. This was bad because Wilhite's ankle, knee, and leg just blew up. Very hard to watch. I think it was 1. Dislocated/Broken Ankle, 2. Blown Knee, 3. Broken Leg...one of the worst injuries I've ever seen, and one of the least remembered too.
I hate seeing any of those kind of injuries. Makes me cringe.

www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/130700/marcus-lattimoreFormer South Carolina RB Marcus Lattimore is already walking without a limp and hopes to be healthy enough to play by week one of the NFL season. Lattimore is "feeling good" and thinks his week one goal is "realistic." Dr. James Andrews called the running back's progress "nothing short of a miracle." Lattimore is another junior attending this week's events in Mobile to get an early start interviewing with NFL teams.
