Ok, this game might be a little old... but haven't gotten around to getting a new gaming system yet. Anyways, 3rd season in and just won the Super Bowl. Needless to say my team rocked and dominated through out the whole season on All-Madden. Anyways after the Super Bowl, during the off season, all of my players awareness' increased to 99. I know I shouldn't complain but I liked the depth I had and with this increase, it raises the overall quite a bit (My 3rd string QB went from a 67 overall to 87 overall and most other players overall went up by 10).
So what gives? Why did all of my players awareness increase to 99? Half of them didn't even play. It also kinda makes it obscure to how good my players are athletically now since they are all really intelligent now.
Downside is I'm gonna have to let go a ton of my starters next off-season because I can already smell the holdouts from the bench players for being paid like bench players, upside is I have the best young team ever in all of Madden history for the next season.

What was your record in the franchise? In the most recent games i played in all madden trying to get my first win there, I played all the games against the Raiders and I was 1-2 against them lol
That awareness thing happened with me too in madden 2008 and 2009, don't know if that happened in madden 2010, didn't play a long time of franchise mode in madden 2010, all of them in ps2

During the entirety of the franchise?? Varied from All-Pro to All-Madden, 1st 2 years I think was All-Pro. Anyways think my 1st 2 years were 16-3 and 17-2 and both times Super Bowl victors due to me actually playing every single game and during each run, my starters overall would go up a couple of points if they had a really good game. So it wasn't uncommon to see a starter going from a 90 overall to 93 overall over the playoffs. By the 3rd season, my team talent wise was easily the best team thanks to the playoff runs and capitalizing on the oppertunity of training camp (completed the drills on All-Madden for most, other than the QB drills, they're hard). By 3rd season I switched to All-Madden, fiddling with the other controls that affect the difficulty like how well you or AI can pass/run block, tackle, punt accuracy, etc. Almost lost the 1st 3-4 games but I used some Madden Cards to save my sorry ass No Madden Cards used after that and I finished 18-1, losing to San Diego in Week 5 on the last play. My team was stacked even by year 3 so even if I was bad, it wouldn't be as hard if you had Brees throwing to Megatron and having AP run the ball. Anyways in the offseason, I see that everyone has a 99 awareness, some players even jumping 50 points in that category. Heading into the 4th season, I haven't exactly seen how awareness affects gameplay but it does affect the overall which then affects how much money they want. 3 things of note: 1) I've been playing this since 08 so think thats 5 years now 2) It was a fantasy draft, plus during the 2nd off season, I've signed 2 star FAs 3) Offsides are set to off.... pass rush is a bit easier but I play LB/CB a lot

Madden 2008 was the last game I ever played on my PS2 before it pooched! Last good Madden game I played as well.. I remember this too, All of my players ending up with 99awr.. I believe I was playing with the Cardinals and my whole starting lineup was over 90ovr in my 8th or so season.. It got kind of frustrating because I would draft rookies and then in their Sophmore year they would be as good as my starters.. And I had to let so many awesome players go because with all my players being rated so highly all wanted big contracts.. I once had to choose between 3 99ovr safties!

thats the last madden game i currently still own. everytime i win the superbowl, i get all these players with there overalls increased because of the awareness increased to 99. i love it because then i can trade my older players for high draft picks, continue to get young talent and still be a consistent winning team

Urlacher and Polamalu have been with my team since the start and year 2, but with the awareness increase, I got a 99 overall Eric Weddle that can be converted from a FS to a SS, also got a young 2nd year player with a 92 overall to replace Urlacher and get Willis as the #1 MLB. Don't know what I'll do next year, some of the players, when you go to resign them, don't reflect that their overall's change in the View Roster menu so I was able to atleast resign my backup RB on the cheap. @bengals That's a little harder to do... trading veterans usually means cap penalties and those 1st round picks aren't cheap, one of my rookies took 70 million to sign him to a deal and he wasn't even picked in the top half of the 1st!

I remember this as well. I have Madden 08 for Gamecube and it happened after my second season. Most of my backups would be around the 80s after the first season even if they didn't play a single snap.

this will bother me. it is very unreal
players who don't even play much snaps will get a 99 AWR, and I don't know why

this will bother me. it is very unreal players who don't even play much snaps will get a 99 AWR, and I don't know why another thing as well... it puts your depth chart and roster page all out of whack. The roster page will show what was the player's overall prior to the awareness increase while the depth chart shows the current overall of the player. The good thing is, the roster page has the lower overall listed and you can resign them for a cheaper contract. If you improve another area of the player via training camp, the overall on the roster page is updated to match the depth chart....
