For those who watch basketball, I am sure you are aware of the turmoil this DH12 thing is causing throughout the league. The new-look Nets were primed to get him, but they grew weary of negotiating without much getting done. They are now out. Houston also wants him, but it seems ORL does not want to negotiate with them, for whatever reason that may be. Now the Lakers look like the frontrunners in the saga, and it is reported that a 3-team deal is in place where Howard would be taking his talents to the LA Lakers. Also in the deal, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in which they will be taking C Andrew Bynum, and they would give up Varejou and some picks.
Question is, if this deal goes through, who will be the on the best end?

LA gets: C Dwight Howard
ORL gets: Anderson Varejao and draft picks from CLE
CLE gets: C Andrew Bynum

LA.... then again I have no clue who Varejao is or that much of a follower of the NBA, anyways I guess I'll be rooting for the Lakers cuz of Nash

Varejao is a center for CLE. He is a good defender and rebounder (and flopper ). Not great on offense.

If LA is only giving up Bynum, and getting Howard, they win.

LA has no draft picks to give ORL (gave numerous future picks for Nash, and they gave picks for something else too). But I would like to think LA is giving something other than Bynum (who will go to CLE <-- SCORE)

I am not a basketball fan, but Nash seems like a cool guy(I do watch sportscenter a lot, so I do see a lot of stuff about the NBA).

Ok...so Lakers just got Nash and now they're getting Howard?? This is why I hate the lakers..same reason I hate the yankees. They buy their championships

If the Lakers get Howard, they are right up there with the Heat. Look at what their lineup would be:
C Dwight Howard PF Troy Murphy(Pau Gasol will likely be traded for cap relief IMO) SF Metta World Peace(aka Ron Artest) SG Kobe Bryant PG Steve Nash
The Lakers would DESTROY the Heat inside with Howard as the Heat have no depth or defense at C and PF. Combine that with the outside scoring of Kobe Bryant with Steve Nash facilitating....damn.
That said, Dwight Howard has completely RUINED his reputation by going through this whole fiasco with him being a brat about wanting to go to Brooklyn and only Brooklyn. The media coverage is going to be horrific if he gets traded to LA. I think he has risen to a Lebron-level villain right now and everyone knows how ESPN loves a villain.
