Totally blown away, no idea this album existed. I've seen him in concert 8 times, all b4 leaving NYC. Stopped following Reed after Sally Can't Dance, ugh, looked like the beginning of a total sell-out, burnout, or both. Funny the one guy's comment "One of the most amazing pieces of music every recorded, and inexplicably obscure, even to Lou fans". But this is a later work, and there is some amazing stuff on here. Some not listenable (if that's a word) like 'Images'. The next song 'Slip Away' and next 'It Wasn't Me' perfectly exemplify the pathos that was Lou Reed. That's as far as I got, still listening. Thanks for posting this. ***EDIT: If anyone cares... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songs_for_Drella *** And here's a song that magically escaped me other than a casual listen, until I heard an amazing cover on The Voice (last night?). It's almost paralyzingly beautiful.... Norah Jones - Don't Know Why

Norah Jones - Don't Know WhyI liked every song on the album, though I'd rather not listen to "It Wasn't Me" and "Hello It's Me" again because its lyrical brings sad emotions in me. I like Images. Cale's psychedelic style of playing the viola is what he was known for with the The Velvet Underground. In terms of music, my least favorite song in the album was "Faces and Names".
