Welcome everyone to this weeks bengals weekly preview between the bengals and dolphins
GAME INFO
the bengals will be playing the dolphins in cincinnati on october 7th at 1 PM ET on CBS. this game will not get alot of attention this week overall, but you all know how excited i am about this game because im looking forward to seeing chad81 shut his fucking mouth once and for all. lets face it, the dolphins are not good. the bengals are a good team right now. i dont care if people say we havent beaten any good teams, because alot of other teams havent either. i really hope we kick there asses this week. check this link if you have the game www.the506.com/nflmaps/2012/wk5.html . the bengals will finally debute there home black jerseys for the 1st time this year.
RUNDOWN
like i said before, not a big game this week. but all i want to see is chad81 shut up. the bengals have no excuse to make the playoffs this year now IMO. if they win this game and then the browns next week, they would be 5-1. thats a very good start for this team. dolphins will once again continue in rebuilding mode
NOTES
*TE richard quinn was signed back to the team after being cut last week to make room for CB chris lewis harris. of course its not likely quinn will last long on the team. i expect him to probably be cut tomorrow which i will explain later
*CB chris lewis harris was moved back to the practice squad to make room for quinn. with leon hall and nate clements back this week, they will be fine at CB now, so harris will stay on the practice squad for a while
*OLB dontay moch will likely be put on the roster tomorrow. he got back from his 4 game suspension now and he gets a one week exemption to be on the team but it wont count as a roster spot. so that means someone will be cut on sunday, and my guess is richard quinn
HISTORY
the dolphins currently lead the series on the bengals 13-5, including 1-0 in the playoffs, so thats not good news. last time both these teams played in 2010 the dolphins won in cincinnati 22-14. last time the bengals beat the dolphins was 2007 in miami 38-25. last time the dolphins beat the bengals in miami 1991 where they won 37-13. last time the bengals beat the dolphins in cincinnati was 2004 where the bengals won 16-13
THE FIVE KEYS TO VICTORY
5.Let A.J do his thing. a.j green has really started to show people that his rookie season wasnt a fluke. he struggled a bit in the first 2 games, but went back to back 100 yard games now the first time in his career. the dolphins have a good run defense but a bad secondary now
4.Keep the pass rush going. the bengals currently have 17 sacks which is the most out of any team right now (exception for the start of week 5 already). guys like carlos dunlap, michael johnson, and geno atkins are creating pressure no stop. the dolphins OL isnt exactly good either
3.Dont forget about Hawkins and Binns. starting WR armon binns and slot reciever andrew hawkins have been a big surprise this year. both are more weapons to throw too incase a.j green is covered. hawkins is making fantasy football owners in love with him and armon binns is playing good at the #2 despite being a 2nd year undrafted rookie
2.In Jay Gruden we trust. i was more worried about losing mike zimmer after the season, now im more worried about gruden. if i had to pick the best OC right now this year, i would say gruden hands down. hes so creative with the play calling, letting dalton air it out, and that cool wild cat play in week 3 with mohamed sanu throwing a bomb to a.j green for a TD. he signed a big contract extension before the season started, so i think he will stay with us for a while
1.Andy Dalton knows what to do. i was a bit hard on this guy before the season but not any more. hes played very good so far this year and if your not convinced in him now, i think your insane. hes worked alot better on throwing the deepball finally now. i think hes proved hes the franchise QB for this team. now all he has to do next is beat a playoff team
PREDICTION
im alot more confident in this team now then what i was before. i still think we miss the playoffs but this team will be into it for the very end
im not worried about the defense one bit. we got some of our players back from injury this week, they are playing better every week now. yes reggie bush could be a concern, but the bengals held MJD to only 32 yards. and before people say tannehill threw for over 400 yards on the cardinals defense, dont forget he threw 3 ints too and most of his success was brian hartine which wont happen again
as long as the offense can stay hot we will win the game. im not that worried but i think it will be close. SUCK IT CHAD81
