I have always been a Geno-liever, but today put me over the top. Let me tell you some stats. 45/51, 656 yards, 8 TDS, 31 rushing yards. He is unstoppable. No matter how bad the defense is, any QB who throws the ball 51 times and ends the game with more TD passes than in-completions is pretty damn good in my book. I agree bigd..but I just want to see how he does against better defenses is all...he's only played terrible defenses so far this year.

geno smith is the 2nd best QB for the draft now for sure right now
matt barkley will be the first to go though, lets be honest. maybe not the #1 overall pick especially if the browns finish with the #1. i see barkevious mingo as the #1 pick right now
but barkley is still a top 5 pick, and the first guy to go

@bengal: what puts Geno Smith above Wilson? I just want to know your reasoning. By year's end, I may agree with you. He may be better but it's only his 4th game of the year. And he has a ton of talent surrounding him and a pretty good O-Line and he's only played terrible defenses thus far. I just don't think his few great games against those defenses and that surrounding talent and O-Line is enough to propel him above Wilson (who has 1 good WR and the worst O-Line I've ever seen..)

the reason smith is better than wilson right now is because smith is more accurate than wilson
wilson does have a stronger arm than smith, but smith has been alot more accurate compared to wilson
west virginia doesnt have that good of an OL either. but he can handle under pressure better since he has better mobility
only problem i have with smith is his mechanics

smith is more accurate than wilsonbut Ummm what? Wilson is known for his great accuracy. Today I gotta admit he didn't look good though...but have you even watched Wilson this year? And Geno had guys wide open so many times today..he DID make several really good throws though whether he was under pressure or his guy was covered. I was impressed I gotta admit. And about the O-line, have you watched Arkansas (I know I've asked a couple times but it matters)? It is the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. It is so sad..Wilson gets hit and hit and hit as he throws. The O-line can't hold anyone for 2 seconds. He is either hanging in while he gets hit or leaving the pocket escaping pressure. The O-line is just a disgrace.

but he can handle under pressure better since he has better mobility Yeah I'm sure he can. But the main reason I like Wilson better than Mallett is because Wilson hangs in there and takes the hits. He'll step into them as he throws (which he can do with accuracy). THAT is my favorite thing about Wilson. But yeah he's not exactly "mobile", he can run if he has to but nothing like Geno.

Why do you guys think Geno is a part runner? He isn't, he just as much of a pocket passer as Wilson or Barkley is..
Fwiw, I think Geno is more accurate than Wilson also (from what I've seen). But I'd still take Wilson over Geno because of Wilson's leadership and intangibles.. Something I haven't seen from Geno yet.. Or not much of.

People automatically thing running qb when they see a black qb. They also always think less athletic when they see a white qb. Most of the time it is probably right. People make that same mistake with RG3. And while he does run fast, RG3 is definitely pass first. Which is why I think it is stupid when people say RG3 "is the next Vick". Personally I think a perfect comparison for RG3 is Aaron Rodgers.
