Apparently, we can all thank Clay Matthews for speeding the process of getting a deal done. After the game, Matthews posted Roger Goodell's office number on Facebook and apparently Goodell got over 70,000 voice mails from fans and players complaining about the refs.

If it's true, that's gonna cost him dearly.

I have mixed feelings about this. Questionable officiating at least gives the Rams some hope. LOL! Never give up, my friend.

If it's true, that's gonna cost him dearly. That was a fake account, but a Wisconsin senator did tweet Goddell's number. Anyways, the NFL and the refs just reached a deal and all indications are that a regular crew will be on the field for the thursday night game.

The circus is finally over. It took a disastrous ending to a game and a fierce outcry from both media and fans to get the deal done. I'm scratching my head as to why the commish had to wait for the world to start falling apart to decide for something that was obvious from day one. Money? Oh, wait, that never was the issue for the $ 9.5 billion league, $ 6 billion of which comes from television alone (all three free-to-air networks, ESPN and DirecTV). And I'm not even counting the NFL Network revenue yet, which will certainly increase this year with the season long broadcasts of Thursday Night Football (more advertising dollars) and the coverage extension to Time Warner Cable and Bright House.
Mr. Goodell needs to keep his eyes wide open and take some management lessons here.

**cartwheels down the hall and out the door** ;D ;D
I'm glad the owners finally came to their senses. Goodall doesn't hold the purse-strings--the owners do. So there was only so much he could do.
31 teams are privately owned, but the Packers are a public entity. I can imagine that thousands and thousands of Packer owners made their voices heard after the debacle Monday night.
In fact, T.J. Lang tweeted a couple of profane responses to the MNF game which were re-tweeted over 90,000 times. He now holds that twitter record surpassing Justin Bieber's "I'm sexy and I know it." ;D
