FINAL SCORE
38
31
its another big win IMO. the bengals werent favored this game so this is a big help to them
5 PLAYERS THAT GET MY GAMEBALL
5.WR Mohamed Sanu. 73 yard pass for a TD. well the good news is we got an emergency 3rd string QB if dalton and gradkowski were to every go down in a game. the first play of the game, it was a wildcat play with sanu playing at QB and he threw a bomb to a.j green. what a play he made, i love it
4.DE Michael Johnson. 6 tackles and 3 sacks. LT trent williams was partically out for the game so johnson took advantage of it. a rising star on this team who had a great game against joe thomas last week too. johnson even had back to back sacks in this game too
3.DE Carlos Dunlap. 3 tackles, a sack, forced fumble, and fumble recovery. hes clearly a difference maker on this team. he didnt play the first 2 games of the year but he continues to show why hes a dominant rising star pass rusher once again. i love what i see out of him, he needs to keep staying healthy
2.WR A.J Green. 9 catches for 183 yards and a TD. he had a career high for yardage this game. he was struggling the first couple of games, but hes putting it together now. hes becoming a top 5 WR soon. hes clearly better than julio jones now
1.QB Andy Dalton. 19-27 for 328 yards, 3 TD's and an INT. if this team falls apart this year it wont be because of dalton, it will be because of the defense. forget about the INT he threw this game, it was the first pass of the game, and his OL didnt protect him on that play at all. back to back 300 yard games the first time in his career now. i guess i was wrong about the slump
5 PLAYERS THAT WERE TERRIBLE
5.DT Domata Peko. what has happened to this guy? he hasnt done anything so far this year. hes virtually been blanked out on the defense. without him playing well, the run defense is clearly struggling
4.DE Robert Geathers. geathers got the start one more time since they didnt want to put the pressure on dunlap early this game. geathers is clearly slowing down. i though he played great last year and so far hes been terrible.
3.RB Benjarvus Green-Ellis. the law firm no more. he had his first nfl career fumble against the redskins, so now i can no longer call him the law firm. plus he had a crappy game. i though he should of had a good game seeing as how the redskins didnt have orakpo and carrier and the rams were able to run for over 100 yards with a backup RB. yet law firm could only run for 38 yards on 17 attempts. but it wasnt completely his fault
2.The Entire OL. losing travelle wharton and kyle cook has clearly killed this team besides the defense. they have given up 12 sacks in the first 3 games, which is the highest out of any team in the nfl for the 1st time since 2000. they couldnt block for law firm and they just keep overpowered by defenses
1.CB Terence Newman. with leon hall not starting, and CB nate clements being moved to SS because of taylor mays and jeromy miles sucking, it forced adam jones and terence newman to start. newman was awful like usual. made 2 stupid plays in the 4th QRT. touching the ball when the redskins put the ball at the 1 yard line and it almost allowed the redskins to have the ball. plus he jumped at robert griffin head while trying to tackle him out of bounds which almost cost the team this game too. hes clearly shouldnt even be playing anymore
FINAL GRADES
Offense: A. besides the OL, hes really played good. dalton played good, all of the WR's played great like hawkins, sanu, binns, and green as well. the running game only struggled because of the OL, but they only gave up 2 sacks that game still
Defense: C. i think it was better defense this game except for stopping RG3 against the run and air. plus the bengals havent had ONE INT so far this year. how bad would it be if they let blaine gabbert torch them?
Special Teams: B. punter kevin huber punt the ball very well. they gave up one big play, but it wasnt a TD. they played very well on special taems once again
Coaching: the creative game calling by jay gruden deserves most of the credit IMO. he pulled two good wildcat plays, and letting dalton air it all out this game was a big help. mike zimmer had some stuggles on defense in the 2nd half, but great defense in the 1st half. marvin lewis once became on my hate list though. the could of kicked a field goal when they were up 14-7 and they were, but it was a fake and it didnt work. that field goal could of really been the factor of the game. stupid play by marvin lewis once again
FINAL GRADE OVERALL: B
another solid win for the team. offense carried the team, jay gruden deserves lots of the credit. defense is a major concern now though and the running game still needs work
FINAL WORDS
still not pleased right now. the offense is trying to carry this team and its not gonna work forever once they start playing real teams. i still dont see no more than 6 wins right now
the jaguars are next up who got a huge upset on the colts. its in there house too. they better not make blaine gabbert look good
