Ok, so everyone knows right now, I've been pretty upset with how we've been preforming especially after what was promised and what we have.
#1 - First and foremost, it comes down to Palmer. He needs to keep playing the way he has been and protecting the ball the way he has. We can't afford to give up any turn overs today. Even though the Steelers' D is wounded, they are still dangerous. Though Polamalu not being there is a blessing.
#2 - Run DMC come out come out where ever you are. This is week 3, only 54 rushing yards? Not going to work, get it together bud, I know you struggle some in the ZBS but you're over thinking it and need to shake it off and get the afterburners lit.
#3 - Defense... Da phuq? We did very well in the preseason, week 1 was very good up until the special teams debacle. Last week i'm chalking up to being the same type of match up issues that we had last year. With that said, we are banged up and need to prove we are more solid then it appears. We need to go after Ben all game, we cant let him have the time to throw the ball, he will burn us, Wallace and Brown will burn our secondary.
#4 - We can't afford to play conservative, we need to be aggressive, we need to be the bully Hugh was trying to turn us into before he blew up. Knapp, this is a turnkey week for you, if you mess up now, I guarantee Reggie and DA are going to think twice about bringing you back next year.
#5 - Moore, DHB, Streater, Ausberry, and Meyers. All of you need to show up and show up big every play. No giving up, not half hearted routes. We need to split the D up and force match up issues and fight for every bit of separation we can get. Moore, you more then anyone else needs to show up today, you need to lengthen the field allowing DHB and Streater to be more open over the middle. Make them play honest (meaning not forcing fake reads btw, not meaning cheating)
All of these need to come together in a big way and soon. The Steelers won't be and easy task, and we are more then likely going to drop this game, but its not lost yet. We can still win and get this train back on it's tracks.
