I heard by the TV announcers that the reason RG3 wears that sleeve on one arm is because back sometime in his early college days apparently he had some injury to that arm and he had to wear a sleeve on it, and that apparently he liked the feel of it and ever since has worn that sleeve on his arm. I have mixed feelings on RG3. He's been spectacular so far and I like him as a player, but he really comes across as a bitch after the comments he made during the game and after. I like RG3 and he's entitled to say how he feels. The game was overly physical. I think the incident between Jenkins and Davis summed it up. Jenkins was fined $15,750 for the hit on a defenceless receiver, (and rightly so in my opinion). I'm not sure why beastified would want a gif of that incident as an avatar. Jenkins didn't intentionally do that, it was instincts, and he's trying to force a fumble and hit the guy as hard as he could. On the GIF Fred Davis is two steps from running over Jenkins. If Jenkins didn't go forward he would've been mauled by Davis. I don't think he should have been fined for that. I just think it's a sick hit! NOW this hit: gifrific.com/golden-tate-of-the-seattle-seahawks-knocks-down-sean-lee/Should be fined. Tate is on offense, not defense, and you don't need to do a superman block like that when the guy he is blocking for is already past him.

If Jenkins didn't go forward he would've been mauled by Davis. I don't think he should have been fined for that. I just think it's a sick hit! The hell he didn't! The rule on defenceless receivers has been made explicitly clear. A receiver has to keep his eyes on the ball and use his hands to secure the ball. He is not established as a runner until he can take some action to avoid or cushion any blow to the head. Until that point you cannot touch his head. The aim of the rule is to get the defender to lower their target area. It is understood that you aim no higher than the bottom rib or the bottom of the numbers. There must be ZERO contact with the head and it is the defensive player's responsibility to ensure that is the case. Your gif clearly shows that Jenkins aims high and follows through higher. The rule on the blindside block is that it is illegal if the blocking player is moving back towards his own goal-line. If Tate were moving sideways or upfield that block would be legal. The rule was brought in to protect gunners on punts. when gunners got past blockers they would head downfield until they forced the punt returner to run sideways. They would have no possible way of knowing where other blockers that were behind them were positioned. This rule was to protect them from blindside hits. On this play Lee knew where Tate was because he was covering him in zone coverage! When the play broke down and Wilson scrambled, Tate ran to get in position to make a block. Lee followed behind him and should have known that Tate was going to block him. He wouldn't have known exactly when Tate was going to block him and he didn't expect that much effort from Tate. The play clearly shows Tate moving sideways and Lee taking a bad angle. I'm not aware of this rule being used in this way before - and frankly it's a mistake. If the league wanted to say that it was a head-to-head personal foul or unnecessary roughness I would better understand it. As the rule has been interpreted it will now be a foul if a DE rushes beyond a QB, turns the corner upfield, and is then blocked by a 2nd lineman or RB who is moving towards his own goal. That should not be a foul. This is a case of the NFL overreacting to the result of a play rather than the play itself. If Lee and Tate had bounced off each other and neither hit the ground no-one would have looked twice at the play. www.nfl.com/videos/auto/0ap1000000063427/Golden-Tate-s-block-on-Sean-Lee
