Thanks! I'll try to remember to log into this site also.
I have too many VHS NFL Films collections also. I have the one you're speaking of too I think. The one I have is "NFL's Greatest Games, Volumes I and II." It contains all those that you mentioned plus the Ice Bowl, the NFL Championship from the year before (to get to SB I) and San Diego - Miami (my personal pick for greatest game ever played), the 1958 NFL Championship Game between the Colts and Giants, the XMas Night marathon in 1971 between KC and Miami...among others.
Anyway, yeah I totally agree on the NFL Films collections. ONE OF A KIND. I'd like to see them transfer all those old VHS collections to DVD or Blu Ray format sometime...soon.

In my teens here in Britain I was desperate for NFL games. Coverage consisted of a tv highlights package 7 days after the event and a weekly newspaper. I was grateful to find those tapes in a second hand store. There was very little NFL material here in those days.

He was a great man, and a big reason why I decided to go back into school after i got hurt. If it wasn't for his innovations the degree program I'm in may not even exist. He will be greatly missed. His voice was synonymous with the NFL.

Losta - it is awesome that an "American Game" can be so incredulous for anybody that isn't living in the States to become so involved that they / you / a real fan can & will share a story like you did. All of it stemming form Steve Sabol, it's amazing to think about the impact that he left directly & indercetly on the NFL, and NFL Films.
I can just close my eyes and hear his voice describing so many historical plays!
