Things I want to see:
1.Offensive Linemen, please don't make Andrew Luck run 3 light years in the pocket every time he goes to pass. Good move by GM Ryan Grigson for signing Trai Essex, the Colts were needing a guard so bad to replace Seth Olsen. But do whatever you have to do to keep Jared Allen, Kevin Williams and Brian Robison at bay.
2.No concussion on Austin Collie. Collie can create a bigger impact than Reggie Wayne if he stays healthy. Part of Luck's bad performance against the Bears was because he had only Reggie Wayne and Coby Fleener to throw; Donald Brown dropped two easy passes and LaVon Brazill didn't create a single impact on receiving: 1 reception for 10 yards. Not only Austin Collie is back, but T.Y. Hilton is also back, and the Vikings' secondary isn't very good. If the offensive line do their part, Luck will have a great game.
3.Drake Nevis playing more snaps than Fili Moala. What Moala did in camp do be the starter? Moala is horrible in run stopping, even worse in pass rushing and a suckish tackler. Nevis played well in his rookie season but he was limited because of injuries. So, Nevis should be playing. Let's remeber that the Colts are playing against a deadly runner and the Colts' run defense is the best at being worse.
4.And last but not least, contain Adrian Peterson.
Top 5 Colts Players to watch:
5.Donald Brown Brown struggled last week, and the Colts need a running game
4.Reggie Wayne: Wayne is a important receiver for the Colts' offense and Andrew Luck
3.Austin Collie: If he has a game without injuries then the offense will be much better
2.Jerry Hughes: With Dwight Freeney out with an ankle injury, Hughes will get his chance to play. Hughes had a terrible game against the Bears last week, so we'll see if he'll rebound
1.Andrew Luck: Luck is a rookie QB that had the spotlight on him since the off-season, and against a weak Vikings secondary it'll be interesting to see his performance
Top 5 Vikings Players to watch:
5.Percy Harvin: Harvin will a good man-to-man cornerback in Vontae Davis. An interesting matchup
4.Kevin Williams: Williams is a good interior pass rusher, and that is where the Colts' offensive line has struggled
3.Jared Allen: Jared Allen is one of the best defensive ends in the league, so Anthony Castonzo will have his hands full in this game
2.Christian Ponder: Ponder had a godd game last week, but this time he's facing better corners but a weak defensive line, interesting matchup
1.Adrian Peterson: The fear of every defense, eyes will be on Peterson
Prediction:
The biggest matchups will be Andrew Luck vs. the Vikings' weak secondary; the other one is Adrian Peterson vs. the Colts' weak run defense. I expect a close game though
