These were the finalists for the ESPN play of the year award:
Joe Adams' PR TD against Tennessee
Christian Watford game-winning 3 against Kentucky
Watford won the award..but was he the rightful winner?

Watford --> mainly because [1] it was a game-winning shot and[2] it was against an undefeated Kentucky team. Not to mention a lot more people probably watched that game when it happened.
Then Adams play was AMAZING, but it was 1st quarter, which loses pizzazz.

Watford > Simpson jump > Adams PR
There was some bad tackling in the Adams play, still great though.

Watford shot is meh to me.. its just a 3pt shot.. its a clutch 3 point shot no doubt but really there are 1000s of shots like it.. the timing is the only thing that makes it impressive. The Joe Adams punt return is wayy more impressive in my mind!
side note: Basketball doesn't really excite me at all.. so I may not be the best judge of this.

Austin Rivers' shot was obviously way better. I guess ole Huckleberry aka Roy Williams called up ESPN and told them not to nominate it.

The reason I like the PR better (besides being Arkansas fan..) is because you see people draining buzzer beater 3s all the time. It was just another 3 pointer that anybody can make. What makes it good (like jindred said) is the timing. How often do you see a PR like that? Never..sure it was bad tackling against a terrible team and Watford was against undefeated Kentucky but I don't think that makes it a better "play".
