While I well believe Dak Prescott deserves a good payday, I don not believe he deserves more than 30 mill per year. I am not a Dallas fan but have watched many of a Dallas game as they appear on the NFL games televised quite often regardless of win/loss records.. I present my argument in two parts. Part I :: Prescott was drafted in 2016 as a fourth rounder, with only Goff and Wentz as notable names drafted ahead of him. While both Goff and Wentz saw their paydays Dak hasn't seen his. Goff's record with the Rams 43-27 including 19-13 the past two seasons. Wentz' record with Philly is 35-32-1 with 18-11 the past two seasons. Dak has a 42-27 record with the Cowboys, very similar to Goff's totals and better than Wentz' totals, but ONLY a 10-11 record the past two years. I know, I know, he got injured last year, but remember Wentz has had injuries too, so let's not use that as an excuse. That 10-11 record the past two seasons is why I don't believe he should get any more than either Goff or Wentz, something similar, YES INDEED !!! Part II: When Dak came into the league ,Zeke Elliot was taken in the 1st round. Dallas had All pro Tyson Smith LT and All pro Fredrickson at Center and Zack Martin all pro at guard as well as a RT who was serviceable who soon left for other pastures. Fredrickson retired early, and then Smith and Martin got injuries and hence that was the decline of Dak prescott In Dak's first 3 year with that line in tact, with Elliot getting 2000 yard from scrimmage, Dak was quite SUCCESSFUL, when that line fell off, Dak declined as well. No, Dak didn't decline his RECORD declined. The 1st three years Dak only had a total of 3 games of 300 yards or more( 1 was 400 or more) yet in the past two seasons Dak has had 7 games of 300 or more yards with 3 400 or more yards yet has only that 10-11 record to show for it it. I know, I know, the defense gave up 30 or more points in a lot of those losses. Yet if you look up the games Dalton, DiNucci and Garrett started , the defense only gave up 30 or more points at the very same rate as they did with Dak under center, and remember, though Dalton didn't light it up , the Cowboys won 4 of 5 games Dalton started. So I say this to you Dak, sign a 5 year deal worth somewhere about $160 million, put all this behind you and be happy becuase were I any GM in this league I would not offer you any more than that because you are NOT as ELITE as you think you ARE !!!
