Pirates sign OF Gregory Polanco to a 5 Year/$35 Million extension with 2 club options that could push the deal to $60 Million.

That is more than what Starling Marte got in 2013. The Pirates are banking on Polanco to break out this season. I hope they are right. That would be a monster OF. McCutchen who is a Top 5 position player in the MLB, Marte who would probably be the best OF on most teams in the MLB and is already an elite Defender...add the tools that Polanco could be. Damn..

Nice comeback by the Amazins tonight. Cespedes got real unlucky there at the end. No pitcher is ever going to blank the royals line up with out insane feild play...theyre the most opportunistic team ever!! Go Mets!!

Well the Reds still haven't came out with there 25 man roster, as they still haven't decided on who's going to be the 4th starting pitcher. Its pretty much certain on what the roster will look like though. Time to have a quick laugh.
Outfield
LF-Adam Duvall (Can also play IF) (Traded from Giants) CF-Billy Hamilton RF-Jay Bruce
Bench-Scott Schelbler (Traded from Dodgers) Bench-Tyler Holt (Signed from Indians)
Infield
3B-Eugenio Suarez SS-Zack Cozart 2B-Brandon Phillips 1B-Joey Votto
Bench-Ivan De Jesus Bench-Jordan Pacheco (Can also play C) (Signed from Diamondbacks)
Starting Pitching
Raisel Iglesias Brandon Finnegan Alfredo Simon (Signed from Tigers) Robert Stephenson (Not official yet, but most likely will be named the 4th starter) (No MLB experience)
Bullpen
JJ Hoover (Closer) Tony Cingrani Jumbo Diaz Caleb Cotham (Traded from Yankees) Keyvius Sampson Dan Straily (Signed from Padres) Ross Ohlendorf (Signed from Rangers) Blake Wood (Didn't play 2015 season, signed from Pirates)
DL
OF-Yorman Rodriguez (Should return mid April) SP-Anthony Desclafani (Should return on Saturday) SP-Homer Bailey (Should return late May) SP-John Lamb (Should return early May) SP-Jon Moscot (Should return mid April) SP/RP-Michael Lorenzen (Should return mid May)
Expected Lineup 1.Zack Cozart 2.Eugenio Suarez 3.Joey Votto 4.Brandon Phillips 5.Jay Bruce 6.Devin Mesoraco 7.Adam Duvall 8.Starting Pitcher 9.Billy Hamilton
xxxx
Yes you read that correctly. The starting fricken pitcher is higher in the batting order than Billy Hamilton. And the Reds still only officially have 3 starting pitchers in there rotation, while they have 5 other guys on the DL. Desclafani will be back to start this Saturday though, and Blake wood will likely be the odd man out.
Iglesias gets today's opening day start against the Phillies, and Finnegan gets game 2 on Wed. They still haven't decided on game 3 for Thur, so its likely going to be Robert Stephenson making his MLB debut. Simon will start on Friday in game 1 against the Pirates, Iglesias gets game 2, and then Desclafani returning for game 3.
Right now, this team is a dumpster fire and all I care about is how much progress will some of these players make this year. Wins and losses are meaningless to me right now, but playing spoiler role on some of the teams this year to screw them over *cough* Pirates, Cardinals, Cubs *cough* is just icing on the cake for me. Let the madness begin.

Pirates with a nice Walk off win against the Cardinals in the 11th inning. This is what we need to do. We need to win games against the Division and we need to do it early.

Jays lost in a shitty way tonight. Don't entirely agree with the call but I understand. Should have kept Donaldson at 3rd and had the game tied not called the double play.
Anyways meh, on a happy note Sanchez looked badass! If he can keep it up this will be a good season.
